Just saw one walk by.

Good thing I put that Sex Offender sign out front. I'll save a bundle on candy.

We still haven't had any yet! And I don't see anyone on the streets either. Maybe it's too cold?

I don't get trick or treaters out here in the country, but next year at our new house we will. We are right down the street from Whittier middle school, which I haven't decided if that is going to be a good thing or not.

a kid dressed up as a dragon--his dad was a knight, his older sister was a fairy princess, and his little baby sister had little fairy wings on

I actually hope I don't have too many trick-or-treaters. I don't have much candy--I wasn't planning to be home. I thought I'd be at a rehearsal, but I don't feel very well so I stayed home.

Well, you can always put a sign on the door that says "Sorry - I ran out of candy and I'm kind of sick today."

one is like solidified black tea and the other one is some weird kinda toffee with nuts or something.

Geez, trick or treaters don't seem very enthusiastic. I mean, they don't look happy at all. THey just want candy. What happened to groups of crazy little happy kids all excited about halloween?

Having to x-ray the loot and dodge pedofiles has taken some of the fun out of it.

5:04. The neighbor came over with the grandkids.

We have had approximately 100 as of 7pm. Another hundred easily by the end of the night.

About 6:42.

I got home from work at about 6:35, fixed a sandwich...

Good thing I was planning on handing out candy tongiht anyway.

And then some of the little bastards decided to ring the doorbell before I even turned the light on.

BTW, the pillow case seems to be a big player tonight.

We just got back with the kids. They cleaned up.

We're now giving out candy and already have seen 20-30 in 15 minutes.

There are some crazy a$$ people driving around from different neighborhoods I'm guessing. I had to scream and flash my mega flashlight at a few with a "SLOW THE **** DOWN! ! ! " here and there.

First was probably at around 6:30. Probably only about 15 kids so far.

Pretty sad - the wife said this will probably be the last year we hand out candy.

First Trick or Treat kid arrived at 6:00. Last ones (I hope) 9:40. My wife counted 360 kids, down from 500+ last year. I believe my son was the only Neo(The Matrix) in the neighborhood tonight. It is now past Mr Anderson's bedtime and he is still eating candy. Time to get The ONE to bed.

First ones hit the reevie house at 5:45.

175 happy kids were served between 5:45 and 8:15.

First one came about 6:15, the last one was about ten minutes ago. I'm guessing I just promoted tooth decay in 80-90 kids. :)

I poured all the candy we had left in our bowl into his sack and turned the lights off.

I'm a poor college student, so i was giving everyone 2 little bars of chocolate each because I was afraid I'd run out of candy. several of the brats glared at me like i didn't give them enough.

It was time to rotate my bar drinks. I am not sure if beer can go bad so this is a good time to get rid of some....I handed beer to the parents......

The first group was rude.
Our favorite was the mom who had to remind her little kids to say thank you. As they walked off, she told them that the next time she had to remind them to say thank you, they were going straight home. Good job mom!

Our first came at 6:30. Pretty much stopped by 8, with about 70 or so kids coming by. My rule was that if you were as tall as me, one piece. Sheesh. High schoolers should get a job and go buy a bag of candy instead of mooching off of me.

My kids cleaned up big time. Almost all chocolate. I managed to make off with the Almond Joys because they don't like coconut.

My youngest went trick-or-treating with his friend who has a peanut allergy...he scored BIG-TIME in the post-TOT trading session. :D

I dressed as a pirate, stood on the front porch and handed out full-sized candy bars to the kids I knew and their dang friends. That was thirty candy bars, a good mix too. Hersheys, Milky Ways, Three Musketeers, and Crunch Bars. The kids I didn't know, I gave em cheap dum dum suckers. I only did it an hour and a half, 6-7:30, and then we dumped the rest of the suckers on the porch and went to City Bites.

I think Asians have no concept of sweet or gooey deliciousness.

No joke. Savory is not a descriptor that should ever be used with candy.

We had 0 trick or treaters last night...:(....wev'e only had three in the last 5 years....thats what you get when you live on 2 acres with about 200 yard of a long dark tree covered lane going to your 112 year old house.
The few that have gotten up the nerve to come back to our place score big though. :D

Dear Mom Taking Your Kid Trick or Treating:

I appreciate the fact that you want to have your own stash. However, if you insist on trick or treating with your kids, at least lie and say your bag of candy is for some kid not with you.
