That's going to be a tough game. And I'm going to be there so we'd better win it; I can't think of any place I'd rather be less than Boonetown if they were to win.

****** hype: OSU's Peterson fires first shot

Oklahoma State's Nathan Peterson, the Big 12 defensive player of the week, expressed mild disappointment that Cowboy fans did not flood the Boone Pickens Stadium turf following last week's 41-29 triumph over Nebraska.

"I haven't been a part of any of that yet -- where the student section storms the field," Peterson, a junior end out of Union, said on Monday. "We're saving that for OU."

It was this season's first public ****** reference by a Cowboy player.

Oklahoma and Oklahoma State collide on Nov. 25 in Stillwater.

After getting two sacks and scoring on a 19-yard fumble return against Nebraska, Peterson was named the Big 12 defensive player of the week.

He is the fourth Cowboy to have captured a player-of-the-week honor this season, joining return specialist Perrish Cox and punter Matt Fodge (special teams) and wide receiver Adarius Bowman (offensive).

The sad thing about having a successful program like OU's is that it provides very few "rush the field" worthy victories.

I've rushed the field at least half a dozen times.

Dress up in some garage sale oSu stuff and shame the scalper into selling you the tickets cheap then rip it all off with your OU stuff underneath and run into the stadium. :D

Sure ya can pay full face value. But remember, aggy won't sale those tickets to you for face value. Do something like this.

OU Fan: Hey man how much are those tickets?
Aggy: Face value is $75 but, for goons it's $100.
OU Fan: I'll do even better. How about $50 bucks?
Aggy: Deal!
Aggy Cousin: You sooooo robbed that cheater goon.

Works every time.

Dear KC//CRIMSON,

Please consider coming to Stillwater to laugh at aggy in person instead of watching them on TV. We Stillwater members will be hosting our own tailgate at the McCloskey brothers' rental house, so be sure to stop by for the free eats and booze as we sit and laugh at all the ags filing past to watch the ****** game. Please RSVP ASAP so we know how much sandwich makings, chips, and beer we need to buy. See you (hopefully) on the 25th.

I've rushed the field/court three times.

1993, vs. Texas A&M, football
1995, vs. Kansas, basketball
2000, vs. Nebraska, football

Each time it was triggered by OU beating a top five team as an underdog. What kind of rere rushes the field for beating a team ranked out of the top 10?

Speaking of OSU/OU

To OU season ticket holders (people that have good seats, like between the 40s somewhere in the lower level), what do you pay for those seats??? I'm trying to compare what I have to pay for a less substantial product... I don't really trust my AD's words on this one.....

Also, I've heard (somewhere) that season tickets to SEC schools cost a fraction of the price season tickets/donor fees cost @ Big XII schools due to the TV contract(s)... Any truth to that other than confirming that the Big XII TV contracts do, in fact, suck?

All I can tell you is that the Bama fans were quite surprised by the cost of the ticket to the game in Norman. It think it was $60 tick. They said it was higher than any game in Tuscaloosa.

hmm... OSU filters in some of the donor fee to the face of our tickets, and so face shows up @ $254 for all the games... I think the actual price/ticket is something like $50/game, which really doesn't seem all too bad, but maybe it is.

I've never rushed Owen Field. NEVER.

I have, however, rushed the court in LNC twice, both in Calvin's first season. (KU on Big Monday, aggy to cap an undefeated home season)

I agree with the sentiment that rushing the playing surface is a public admission of shock at victory, which is something that we should NEVER have happen on Owen Field. We should NEVER be shocked or surprised that we won a football game.

Besides, rushing the field is SO 2000. I like when the players come to the fans to celebrate a win, like what we did in Mizzou last weekend, or what the Golden Hurricane did in the northeast corner of Skelly after the UTEP win last Friday. :D

:DAgreed. Exactly. However, the overwhelming emotion is happiness and celebration. That's why I would join the melee if we were to beat those sorry-as*ed domers.

Tearing down the goal posts is Bush league, but it's kind of neat to go out and celebrate a big win with the team on the field. I still see nothing wrong with that.

I've rushed the field:
