Defensive Player-of-the Week
#1 Aaron Schmeilski, G, University of Oklahoma

Oklahoma senior goaltender Aaron Schmeilski led the Sooners to back-to-back victories at the ACHA D1 Showcase over No. 3 Penn State and No. 8 Lindenwood. Aaron was spectacular between the pipes against Penn State on Friday afternoon, stopping 39 of 42 Icers shots, many of them coming during Penn State's 14 power play opportunities. With Aaron anchoring the Sooners defense in net, Oklahoma prevailed over Penn State 5-3. On Saturday against Lindenwood, Aaron and the Sooners shutout the powerful Lions offense, stopping all 33 shots Lindenwood threw toward the OU net. Aaron was the cornerstone of an OU defense that killed off all 8 Lindenwood power play opportunities as the Sooners gritted their way to a 2-0 win over the Lions. A big-time player who relishes the opportunity to play in big-time games, Aaron saw a total of 75 shots in his two games at the Showcase, stopping 72 of them for a .960 save percentage and a 1.50 GAA.

Offensive Player-of-the Week
#12 Sean McWhorter, F, Western Michigan University

Freshman Sean McWhorter led the Stallions to a 3-0 record at the ACHA D1 Showcase, including upsets over #11 Arizona and #18 Duquesne. Sean scored the game-winning goal in each of the wins, and finished the weekend with 5 goals and 3 assists. Sean had a goal and 2 assists against Duquesne, then notched a hat-trick against Mercyhurst, and finished with 1 goal and 1 assist against Ariziona. Sean leads the Stallions in points and goals, garnering 19 points in only 9 games, to go along with 10 goals.
