I'm not talking about just great albums, I'm talking about albums where every song is solid, none you have to skip.

I can only think of one right now:

I was going to disagree because I thought that there might have been some weaker songs at the end of the album, but after going back through the tracks on Nevermind, I think we have entry #2 (or 3) on the list.

Here's another pretty strong contender:

this is a great description of what we should be striving for people:

I recently came up against a wall. While sorting my albums of music in the MP3 format, I came to the conclusion that for most, if not all, of the albums I own, there are only a handful of tracks per album that I love. Generally there are a few tracks that are passable and almost always several that are forgettable. This makes listening to an entire album or even mixes of albums set to random less enjoyable than if it was just the best songs per album. So I began purging tracks, saving only the best of each album.
Then I ran into a phenomenon, the phenomenon of the perfect album. An album in which every track is great, each one worthy of being a hit. An album with not a single song I would skip past and nothing mediocre or even average.
I'm only part way through my music library and I've only found a handful. But it piqued my curiosity. What albums would you nominate as a perfect album?

Every one of you guys will probably laugh this off as a joke. Trust me, it's not. And it's not just history, it's a compilation of some of the greatest musicians western swing has ever known in not only tribute, but respect to the King of Western Swing. If memory serves, Wills passed away toward the end of the session. And what a memory this album gives us all.

Guys...

They quit making these types of albums.

Anymore a group has to pump out so much crap they don't do albums or CDs.

So much of it is filler.

Aerosmith is the king of filler with exception to these:

Yeah, Nevermind has zero weak tracks. The last few songs on there, Stay Away, On A Plain, and Something In The Way are 3 of their best songs. The first one's great to crank up loud, the second one's just a good song, and the third one is a mellow, almost haunting sound.

(that's all for OUstud's Musical Breakdown, I'm OUstud)

I would also submit:

Although apparently, they've added two tracks to it since I last purchased it, so I can't vouch for Mother Nature or Aftermath.

I'm also considering Gordon Lightfoot's Sundown. But I'm not 100% sure about it.

And I really think I have a case for live albums. I mean, what's more impressive musically, a perfectly produced album or a collection of solid live performances? OK, I guess you can make a case either way but damn. If we are limiting this to produced albums then do "remastered" albums count?

I looked up U2 Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby. Couple-a "skippers" on both.

Not that they are "bad" songs, but these are ones that are either skippable or that I don't know very well so long after this album has been in my library and huge (basically since day 1):
Trip Through Your Wires
Mother of the Disappeared

I'm not crazy about Red Hill Mining Town or Exit either. RHMT is a solid song, just a taste thing on my part, but if it were the only one I'd definitely put JT on this list myself.
