Which one of you bozos tried to call me?

Caller ID showed "Private Name, Private Number". I refused to answer it and they didn't leave a message!

Damn it! I thought somebody died!

I'm very seldom even up past 11:00 or so, but the police were over at our house at 2:30am. That was quite the experience.

What happened when the police found the bodies in the garage?

You ought to post your phone number on the SO and enjoy the ride.

It was just a senior citizen courtesy call. We went to the city for an OU/Mizzou watch party. My husband was unloading our luggage when he noticed that the tile layers left quite a bit of the tile out. He was afraid it would get stolen. Its quite heavy, so he called one of the fellows to ask if he could swing by to help him carry it to the garage. The layer was already on his way and arrived in a jiff. My husband then got sidetracked with him and absent mindedly left the back door of my SUV open. :O

When the officer drove down our street he saw the car door open and tapped on our door, which swung open. He then called for back up thinking criminals could be in our home doing God only knows what. The puppy started barking, I put on my robe and slippers, grabbed my cell phone to call 911, and a huge can of Paul Mitchell hair spray, just in case, and walked to the front door and saw the officer and my husband talking.

The police officer is very observant and was the nicest young man. I feel much safer knowing we have him on the force. I thought for sure my amplifier and my new Righteous Brothers CD was probably taken, which was still unopened on the front seat, but thank goodness nothing was missing.

What happened when the police found the bodies in the garage? We had to move the bodies to make room for the tile. ;)

Most self-defense classes advise people to use Paul Mitchell hair spray over any other brand of hair spray. The good one's anyway.

Why didn't you just tile over the bodies?

I did tell my best friends wife (she's from Brazil) that all homes in the US have a body under them for good luck. You can tell where the body is by the bump in the tile.

I got a couple of those calls one night. The first call, he said, "Dude, I just heard a bunch of noise by your front fence gate. I was just checking to make sure everything is ok."

To which I replied, "I guess I should probably load the shotgun."

The second call: "Do you know if condoms actually work?" No, but I DO know that I have your number and will report this felony offense moments after we end this conversation.

I'm still waiting for another call, but haven't yet received it.

My wife was getting phone calls from a Spanish-speaking young man for a while. Kid couldn't have been more than 13. Some times he would sing. Most times he would just say, "Tengo gusto de usted, muchacha bonita."

That is, until I took the phone and mentioned the trailer lot number of his grandmother's abode, from which he was calling.

Well, I didn't tile over the bodies because at the rate the tile layers are going, that would have taken an extra 3 weeks. This morning, I'm planning a meeting of the minds.

Your homeowners association?

Just because I don't pay my homeowners association dues for 4 years doesn't give you the right to call me!

I'll sue! :texan:
