ok, big win, Romo looked great.

Things to work on.

COVER THE WR DOWN THE FIELD! (couple of those balls are caught, and it would be a L today)

NO MORE PENALTIES!!!! Your driving me NUTS OL!!!!

Fix those 2 things, and we get a big win in Washington, and Arizona.

And Brad is greatness.

Now, I just gotta figure out how to sync the tv, and the radio.

And BTW, I've found synching works best when you have NFL Audio Field Pass. Thanks to the brilliance of the Real audio player, I can pause the live feed in a Tivo like manner so it will synch up with the TV.

Umm, this is not a playoff team.

Not by any stretch of the imagination.

Dallas should have won this game by 20 points today.

First, Parcells refuses to challenge the Safety which clearly wasn't. T.O. drops passes, the defense fails to make a play on the Clay Cooley TD, and then the fiasco on the Vandersuck (can we release his ***?).

Unbelievable.

Jimmy Johnson is just ripping on TO on the postgame show, and he's 100% correct, although he's not the only problem on this team; how in the hell can a lineman on a FG attempt block down and let a guy come untouched through his hole? That is totally unbelievable, and don't even get me started on the 15 yard facemask penalty

I agree, the officials blew 2 key calls today with the safety and the 15 yard facemask penalty; even Bradshaw said it should have been 5 not 15:mad:

Paying him millions, to do the same thing as a $200,000 rookie kicker, miss FGs

(And if TO had not dropped that pass this would still be a playoff team)

While i agree the kick was low and would have proably been blocked by someone else anyway, the guy that let Troy Vincent come through completely untouched(believe it was 75, not sure which worthless lineman that is) should take most of the blame on this one

GrapevineSooner
11/5/2006, 05:07 PM
Yeah, on further review, I can't blame Vanderjagt for this miss. The guy who blocked it came clean through with barely a hand of resistance laid on him.

As for whether or not that should have been a 5 or 15 yarder on the facemask, I dunno. I do know Dallas put themselves into that position and ultimately, they have nobody to blame but themselves for this.

True, Dallas can only blame themselves. 150+ yards of penalties? Wow.

There is NO WAY that was a 15 yarder. the game should have gone to overtime, where we easily could have lost as well, but the Ref saw his head turn sideways, but somehow failed to see him let go immediately after touching the facemask.

But could you make a stinking catch, Roy? Or better yet, learn how to cover?

I daresay Roy is one of the worst coverage safeties in the NFL and should probably be moved to linebacker.

He's nothing but an overhyped coach who's been here four years, missed the playoffs in two of those years and appears to be leading the Cowboys to another season without any playoffs.

In all fairness, they haven't had a good QB or offensive line since he's been there; it looks like Romo could be the real deal at QB, but 2 games does not make a career.

It kills me to say it, but, ditto.

He had a sure interception go untouched through his hands and hit him in the helmet. He just can't cover NFL caliber receivers. He just looked way better when he had Darren Woodson backing him up, not Pat Watkins/Keith Davis.

Agreed. This, along with Tony Dorsett ending up in Denver, are two of the biggest casualties of free-agency.

As for Roy W's coverage...it sure seems to have dropped off this year. He's more of a natural at LB these days since you don't have to be 6'5 to play LB anymore. Great run-stopper and he can cover the hell out of some TEs.

I think that letting go doesn't matter. If the head turns it is 15 yards. I think when you play it in real time, it has the look of a 15 yard penalty. Cowboys fans can't really blame the call as much as the fact that they didn't tackle him. They made two mistakes: blocking on the play and tackling after the block.

Freaky ending. I've never seen a game end like that. There are a lot of ways to lose a game, I never thought that would be one of them. Wow.

GrapevineSooner
11/6/2006, 11:15 AM
I could care less about whether that should have been a 5 or 15 yarder.

The very fact they put themselves into a situation like that is what annoys me. Hell, if you know you're going to take a face masking penalty there, do whatever you have to to bring the guy down at that point.

That's what is stupid about the rule. It would have been better for the Cowboys to have grabbed his facemask by two hands and ripped him to the ground right there. No field goal try, and overtime happens. it shouldn't be that way, that a way more violent tackle would have sent the game to overtime.
