I think that actors see it as a bit of an honor to be on Law and Order. Some pretty good ones show up there from time to time.

Didn't they just have a character named Elizabeth Hassenbach (like 2 letters off from the name of the wife of that guy who holds extra points for the Jets)?

yeah, she's on the View. Apparently she was a little pizzed off about the deal.
