ABC has announced the starting time for the Oklahoma at Texas A&M game next Saturday. The contest will begin at 7 p.m., the Aggies' Kyle Field. The network announced earlier this week that it would choose between 11 a.m., and 7 p.m., and has selected the latter.

I don't think the time matters at that place. They are hands down the loudest, most influential fans in the nation in my opinion. We are gonna have to play mistake free football.

don't believe the hype.
why not? They save their Game of the Year for us.
2000- OU is clearly the better team, but barely escapes with a win.
2002- OU is clearly the better team, and loses to some Freshman backup QB.
2004- OU is clearly the better team, overcomes a 14-point defecit and wins on an incomplete Hail Mary as time runs out.
2006- OU is clearly the better team, but that hasn't mattered in recent history.
That being said, I think we'll win.

Be glad its a 7pm game. That means you don't have to get up at 5am to drive in from your hotel room in Houston, Waco, or Huntsville. This way you can sleep in and get some quality tailgating in.

Dude,

Go to an A&M game. They are extremely loud THE ENTIRE GAME.

Everyone stands THE ENTIRE GAME.

I've been to some small-time games (ULALA in 2002) and a big-time game (OU in 2002). They are loud all the time.

Good teams can overcome the atmosphere (their home record isn't all that stellar as of late), but they can and will get crazy.

Man, that's one loud place.

And this from a guy who grew up watching wrestling matches in Gallaghar Hall back when they'd break fire codes and let people sit in the aisles and put chairs all the way up to the mat. That is without a doubt one of the top three loudest arenas in sports. Kyle Field is like that, but the convertible model.

For those here in Houston, or want to come here the Friday before:
Initial notice from the Houston OU Alumni Club

TEXAS A&M WEEKEND

BILLY SIMS, JASON WHITE AND STEVE OWENS WILL RETURN TO HOUSTON

Friday, November 3, Houston OU Pep Rally :
As part of the huge OU Pep Rally being held in the Galleria Area, Heisman Trophy Winners Billy Sims, Jason White and Steve Owens will be at SHUCKERS SPORTS BAR located in the Galleria Center on the third floor between the Westin Oaks Hotel and Neiman Marcus. The time will be 4 to 6 PM. This is a return engagement for the OU Greats who attended the Coaches Party last May. The trio will be signing the new edition of the OU Heisman Footballs. These will make great Holiday gifts. Unfortunately, at the Coaches Caravan in May there was not much time to spend with these Sooners. This will be a great opportunity to meet and visit with these OU greats. More info on Shuckers Specials will follow next week.

At 6 P.M. the Pep Rally will shift to the Water Wall Park located south of the William's Tower Building (formerly the Transco Building) in the Galleria. At the Park, the OU Band and Pep Squad will continue the Houston Victory Rally. Parking is free in any of the Galleria Parking Garages. More details will follow.

Update from Houston OU Alumni Club
Houston Sooners,

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Unfortunately, we must postpone the part of our Houston Pep Rally scheduled for Friday, November 3 that involved the three Heisman Winners at Shuckers Bar & Restaurant in the Galleria. Steve and Jason had an unexpected business commitment in Oklahoma City that keeps them from coming to Houston. They both are sorry to disappoint their Houston fans, but they have promised to reschedule their visit to Houston as soon as possible.
However, Billy Sims will be here in Houston and will participate in the Pep Rally with the OU Band and Pep Squad. The Pep Rally will take place at 6 PM in front of the Water Wall Fountain, located south of the Williams Tower (formerly Transco) in the Galleria. (Post Oak Blvd. and Hidalgo) A special opportunity is provided below:

SOONER FANTASY COMES TRUE!

AT THE HOUSTON A&M PEP RALLY, A FORTUNATE SOONER WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY OF A LIFETIME:

Auction Information & Rules
All proceeds of the auction will go to the OU Foundation to benefit The University of Oklahoma Band Program, with a small amount to both the OU Spirit Squad and the OU Club of Houston. The OU Band and the Houston OU Club will provide the winner with the following:

His point was, when you were having all those consective non-winning seasons (you should remember, it wasn't that long ago), you probably didn't haven't a game against a non-rival sold out weeks in advance. The Fran era has tried the patience of even the best of fans.

I must be missing something here. I didn't realize that one loss teams were considered "down" by atm standards and thus, equal to 3-8 Blake teams. This must be that aggy logic that I hear about so much. Face it, it's pathetic that a one loss team in texico has 6k spare tickets sitting around for what is usually a great game in pyle field. You ags have no excuse for this, so stop trying to come up with one.

Baylor had the possibility of being a very scary game for us. Their strengths hit our weakness, and our strengths hit their weaknesses. There was a possibilty of a combined 100 point game. I do admit we are improving, but I would rather have us win a few of our last games (Pokes and Mizzou) by a little more comfortable measure. Honestly 2nd place in the south is up for grabs. Too many weird things have happened in the big 12 this season to say otherwise.
