Or can there only be one "master" iTunes?

What do you use?

I've had an iRiver that has it's own manager, but I want more capacity on the device. A lot more capacity/ Like 80 Gig capacity.

Set up two different user accounts on the computer. One for you, one for junior. iTunes will recognize them as two different computers and allow you to set up different libraries for both. I'm not sure if you have to authorize both user accounts for the songs, thus taking away one of your five allowable computers or not.

We already do have different accounts, maybe I'm ok. I just hate to buy one and find an oops...thanks.

Yeah, you'll be fine. Or you can just keep the same library.

I have 3 ipods on the same itunes install, on the same account. No problem.

You can tell each one what playlist you want on each.

I guess I should have specifed, I don't want to be required to use the same library for both devices.

Best way to deal with that then is to have seperate user accounts in Windows. That way you both can manage your own seperate iTunes music libraries. (The iTunes' library database is stored in each users' profile.)
