nice piece, i suppose. but i doubt he's the only islamic football player in the USA.

funny thing is, islam is one of the most peaceful religions out there. it gets a bad name because of a few whackos. who cares if he's praying 5 times a day - good for him that he follows his beliefs so well.

I stayed at a Ramadan Inn once. Never seemed to be able to get breakfast or lunch but they had a killer dinner buffet...

I tried to get my wife to leave the light on because they had them mirrors on the walls and ceiling, but it was a no-go because she thought there was probably a video camera on the other side. She was wrong. I've searched every porno site on the web looking for it, and I haven't seen it yet. But to be safe, I keep scanning.

Actually, there are a couple of Muslim girls at my daughters' Catholic school. They donlt play football or explode things.

Speaking of Knute Rockne... I saw this Chris Fowler ESPN show about the top 10 college football coaches EVaR, and Knute was - surprise - #1. That's not really outrageous, but what WAS outrageous was that Bud was not in the top 10 (he made "honorable mention) while Vince Dooley, and Lavelle Edwards and some other lesser lights were. I mean, Barry was in there, and I would put Bud ahead of even Barry.
