RUSH LIMBAUGH: You've gotta hear this campaign commercial. There's a man running for office as a Republican, running for Congress in North Carolina. His name is Vernon Robinson. ... I don't even want to characterize it. Just listen to this commercial.

Americans are under attack from Islamic extremists in every corner of the world. Homosexuals are mocking holy matrimony, and the lesbians and feminists are attacking everything sacred. Liberal judges have completely rewritten the Constitution. You can burn the American flag and kill a million babies a year, but you can't post the Ten Commandments or say "God" in public.

I mean, he's talking about national issues. They all have impact locally, but I thought it was the Democrats that were going to nationalize the election this year! Rush is right when he says the Left is pulling out all the stops to prevent me from being elected to Congress this November. The radical, ultra-liberal organization called "People for the American Way" (PFAW) announced that it put my name at the top of its "2006 hit list" after I won last month's Republican primary election in North Carolina's 13th Congressional District with more than 63% of the votes cast in a three-way race.
PFAW President Ralph Neas knows that I am a bold and articulate spokesman for limited government, traditional Judeo-Christian values, free market principles, colorblind laws, a strong military, and secure borders. Neas has singled me out because I am now the Republican Party's only black nominee for Congress in a competitive district that voted for President Bush! My race has been targeted as one of the battleground contests that will decide whether the Democrats win a majority of House seats this November. As you may know, Ralph Neas is the political assassin who is credited by liberals and blamed by conservatives for defeating President Reagan's nomination of Robert Bork to the Supreme Court. Now Neas has pledged to do whatever it takes to take me out!
While the Fox News Channel called me "the new face of the Republican Party" and "a rising star," MSNBC host Keith Olbermann told his audience that my ads are so "bigoted" that I am the runner-up in his "the worst person in the world contest."
And Neas' fellow left-wing Democrat politicians have already begun their name-calling and ad hominem insults. While The Wall Street Journal called me "the next black Republican Congressman," the Democrat Party's nominee for Associate Supreme Court Justice called me "a good slave" and "an Uncle Tom."
More importantly, the Old Left, the New Left, and the What's Left are responding to the "PFAW Fatwah" that Neas issued against me. The loony, left-wing special interest groups and their lobbyists took their marching orders from Neas and have now poured more than $600,000 into the campaign coffers of my opponent - an incumbent Congressman and ultra-liberal personal injury lawyer named Brad Miller.
Brad Miller has taken money from the Academy of Trial Lawyers, the corrupt and scandal-ridden labor union bosses, the National Abortion Rights Action League, the National Organization for Women, the Lesbian and Gay Pride PAC, the militant homosexual Human Rights Campaign, Massachusetts Congressman Barney Frank, Congressional Black Caucus Chairman Mel Watt, and the "open-border, pro-amnesty" lobby, among others.
Don't let the radical Left buy the election

Brad Miller has voted FOR open borders, FOR amnesty for illegal aliens, FOR homosexual marriage, FOR flag burning, FOR higher taxes, FOR extreme gun control, FOR partial birth abortion, and FOR taking"under God" out of the Pledge of Allegiance, and FOR allowing foreign alien child molesters to migrate to the United States.
Brad Miller sponsored the "declare defeat and retreat" resolution that calls for the immediate withdrawal of our troops in Iraq. Brad Miller even sponsored the Foreign Homosexual Importation Act -- a bill that would give marriage visas to the foreign homosexual lovers of American citizens. Not surprisingly, Brad Miller received a 100% approval rating from the liberal Americans for Democratic Action and a 0% approval rating from the American Conservative Union.
We can and will win so long as we have the resources to show Brad Miller's ultra-liberal voting record to the voters. Predictably, the local news media refuse to cover Brad Miller's voting record because they know how "out of touch" it is with the values of the overwhelming majority of North Carolina voters. That means our campaign must go around the liberal media and educate the voters directly through television, radio, and mail.
In order for my campaign to match the $600,000 Brad Miller just raked in from the Left's usual suspects, our campaign must receive a $1,000 donation from two hundred Americans, a $100 donation from two thousand Americans, and a $50 donation from four thousand Americans.
Without the generous financial support of you and thousands of conservatives like you, I won't be able to make more TV and radio ads and buy the necessary air time. I wish I didn't have to ask you for help, but I'm not one of those millionaire candidates who have the luxury of funding their own campaigns.
