Sure we can have some fun by skewing it, but we don't need to skew it to ensure that they end up with an unfortunate mascot choice.

Well that doesn't go with the Savage Storm. If they changed from the Savage Storm to the Self-Important Moron Clowns, then he'd be the perfect candidate.
