for those that don't know, Moores law states that computing power roughly doubles ever 10 years (maybe that number has changed). So the Economist Magazine tried to apply the same law to razor blades. Remember that it wasn't that long ago that razors had a max of 2 blades. Now we have 5. Anyone want to make a prediction on when we get 10?

(BTW, even though it looks like a better fit, the hyperbolic curve is a bunch of crap, because it doesn't mean anything).

Wasn't there an SNL or MadTV skit about a 20-bladed razor a while back? Basically just a plastic oval with tons of blades packed into one side? Makes me feel all stone-age back here with my double-blade.

Gregg Easterbrook talks about this all the time in his TMQ column

I went back to an old-school safety razor. WAY better shave than disposable multi-blade cartridges, and I only spend about 50 cents a week on blades.
