IMO
#1

Dean Blevins

I've met him and he aint the ahole some make him out to be, I think a lot of people get ticked cause he sometimes wants to be "over objective" and I agree he goes out of his way to show he's not an OU homer
I've heard rumors about how well he get's along with Stoops.
#2
Bob Barry Jr.
Pretty cool guy, talks up his dad a little way too much, and seems to get a little too worked up about stupid stuff but I like him

#3
Mark Rodgers
I can't stand listening to him, IMO a jock sniffer at best. Knew a guy although, much younger, on the team and he told me as much. Seems like a real crybaby to me. I can see why they pair him with Humprhies during the "only the unemployed hour" I do like his coverage of HS football it is better than a lot of places around the country.

i'm not one of those guys that hates all the sports guys in okc. i think the animals do a pretty nice job and their show is almost always entertaining. i like traber and steely quite a bit.

if you could only hear the animal here in co. springs, you might keep your yappers shut about the animal in okc.

Dean Blevins is a jerk. Period.

I'm surprised they can fit his head on the tv screen.

This is tough because it depends on what you mean by "favorite" and what media you're talking about. But I'll go with Tramel and Toby Rowland. I used to like Mark Rodgers a lot more than I do now. I also like Al, but you can't take him too seriously. He's pretty entertaining, though.

I like AL but I get sick of the fact that he cant stand to be wrong or be challenged and if someone does he just screams and hangs up on them. I think Dean probably gets a bad rap about being a jerk(though ive heard that he hates rodgers and traber and the feelings are mutual???) but I think he sucks as a sportscaster. Holcomb makes him look amateurish. BBJ is a big nerd but he does a pretty good job. I would go with Rodgers

I think I like them all - at times. Al is entertaining but it gets tiring to hear his predictable innuendos that he never fails to jab into the conversation (especially when Dean is talking which can actually be funny).

Dean can be bland and self righteous but he is a fairly objective source of information.

I like Traber most of the time except when he is plugging "The Fat Jack" or endorsing some crap product that he wants you to "trust him" and buy because he says he uses it.

I like Barry Jr. as I do his old man because he seems real and both of them love Oklahoma and do a credible job. The Barrys are the frequent target of cheap shots IMO.

Tramel is cool. My mom hates him because she is a blind rabid OU homer who swears Tramel went to OSU and hates the Sooners. To me Tramel appears to have a brain and enjoys stirring the pot now and then. And for years he has intentionally taken a silly photo for his newspaper column. I mean, are you telling me that was his best photo? The photo he used when he worked for the Norman Transcript looked like he just walked out of special ed class and forgot to use his comb. Classic.

Got news for ya - I work at The Oklahoman, and that's how Trammel looks all the time.

In the afternoon I find myself listening to the REF more and more. They have more intelligent football talk compared to the Animal. There is only so much Fat Jack and Al and his nonsense I can take. I would swear sometimes the Animal must be owned by a casino or sportsbook.

Who's the guy who died in the OSU plane crash? He was the best metro-area sports guy. Having brainlock and can't remember his name..

I've met/played golf with Dean. In person he is real cool guy. On air, I'm sorry he's ****ing terrible. Nobody can take as much time to say so little.

My vote goes to Traber. He's entertaining and knows his sports.

I miss seeing Robert Allen doing weekends at Channel 4. It was entertaining to watch the stress level on that top button of his shirt to see if his neck and chins were going to pop it off right at the camera every time Uze Brown Washington tossed it over to him for sports.

Oh, but he sucked.

Teegins was world class. I interned for him for 7 months in college and he treated everyone with respect and did his best to be completely impartial, which he was. I know he wanted the OU gig, but since he didn't get it he had to take the OSU gig. He hated Blevins with a passion back when he was at Channel 5, but they obviously mended their fences before Bill's incredibly sad and untimely death.

As for Ron Terrell, I whipped his butt in every sports broadcasting award during college. Which really paid off since I am in sales in Phoenix now.

I don't really care for too many of them to be honest. I like Al when he's not acting like a juvenile 5th grader and actually brings input on sports. He's very knowledgable. However, sometimes I feel like he's too close to "the program" and lacks objectivity and openness to criticism of the program. He get's too fired up like he takes it personal. Not the epitome of objectivity.

I think out of all of them, Traber is the most objective and that's why I like him. I can put up with his personality flaws because he actually tells it like it is whether people want to hear it or not and I often find myself agreeing with him.

Humphries is....eh.

Mark Rogers seems like a total ****** to me.

Bob Jr. seems like a kid who grew up getting his lunch money taken, not a sports analyst.

Mildren's stuttering problem leaves me frazzled and jittery after every dominance hour and I lose the ability to think straight. He sucks for that.

Dean is........well Dean. He doesn't blow me away with fascinating insight or anything. Nice hair though!

Ta-dah! That's pretty much everybody.

Toby Rowland and Mark Rodgers have to be commended for their work with high school sports. Dean is a "personality" that is lacking in... personality. Completely worthless other than his contacts. I guess Holcomb would be considered state-wide, and he's probably the closest thing to Teegins, as far as being a professional. Traber tells it like it is, or at least like he sees it, which is good. Typically, you can look at the guys that OU fans think rip OU and OSU fans think rip OSU and you'll have your most objective people.... Trammel, Traber.... That's about it

Al Eschbach and Jim Traber are my favorites. The others are Bob Barry, Sr. and Dean Blevins.

Steely is the only one with a snowball's chance in hell of ever landing a job in a Top 25 market. And, that's only if the drops the failed "Uncle" bit.

Everyone else in OKC is pathetic. If I were Steely, I'd make it my goal to send out one tape per day to a larger market station. He's better than where he is, and he's better than some of the crapheads that are on in better markets.

By the way, I've been on business trips during parts of the last two weeks to Waco and San Antonio. Let me say this, OKC is currently ranked #48 and Austin is ranked #42 in radio market...and they both suck equally. The daily suck exuded from the Austin stations - AM and FM - is astounding considering that one of the largest universities in America is in its city.

OKC is bad, but you haven't heard suck until you tune into an Austin radio station.

Anyway, back to Steely. I honestly think he could be in a Top 25 market, probably somewhere in the 15 to 25 markets. Although, I think he'd be fine on The Ticket in Dallas. If The Ticket ever had a live show spot after The Hardline again, I think Steely could fill it. The Countdown and Drop Page Radio are total give ups, in my opinion. And, Big Dick's P1 Wild *** Circus just wasn't right for The Ticket. Steely could do a pretty decent 7-10 p.m. sports shift at The Ticket, I'm sure:
