If you are like me and could really care less about either team, this is one of those games that is fun to watch. 35-31 with a minute to go in the third. First game in Mike Vick's career he has thrown for three TD's...in fact, he now has four. Big Ben knocked out with a concussion and Charlie Batch hits hometown boy Hines Ward for 70 yard bomb. I think the last team to touch the ball wins.

Big Ben had 250 yards passing and 3 TD's in the first half alone.

Turn it on if you want some good football.

I wish it were on in OKC.

Well, you are missing out. Hines Ward had 70 tickets purchased for this game for his family. Just caught his third TD pass of the day. Charlie Batch is playing great with Big Ben out. Tied at 38 with 3 minutes to play.

But how about the Tampa Bay-Philly finish? Bucs kick a 62 yarder on the last play to beat the Eagles.

2nd longest FG in NFL history.

So now Atlanta is going for a 56 yard FG to win the game. They snap the ball and make the field goal, but Pittsburgh had called timeout. Then the second attempt is no good, but Palamolu ran into the kicker. Now comes the third shot at it with 30 seconds left in a 38-38 game.

NOW THEY ARE CHANGING KICKERS AND GOING WITH MORTEN ANDERSON FROM 51 YARDS!!! This game is unbelievable. 52 yard attempt for Anderson.

The old man left it short by about a yard!!! The other kicker had drilled it from 56 and they switched kickers!

What a freaking game!

So Pittsburgh just threw the ball downfield and was ready to spike the ball with 8 seconds left and try to win it with a field goal. But a wide receiver moved before the spike snap with 8 seconds left. By rule, they have to eliminate 10 seconds from the clock...OVERTIME!

Last NFL tie was Atlanta at Pittsburgh at 34 apiece. Game ended when Plaxico Burress caught a hail mary but tackled at the one.

Now...today...these two teams head to overtime tied at 38.

Once again, NFL overtime sucks. Morten Anderson gets a chance on the first drive of overtime to win it. 32 yard attempt is....timeout Pittsburgh.

Mike Vick's best game as a pro quarterback. Threw some great passes today. Four TD passes when his best in one game had only been two. Had three TD passes coming into this game this season. Alge Crumpler is a stud, too. Three TD receptions.

Oh, and about this game...3:45 minutes long...and now over. Old man Mort made the kick. 41-38 Falcons.

Our city had the Chargers-Chiefs game on instead, an exciting finish in its own right. But the NFL Today crew was constantly updating the Steeler-Falcon game on the postgame show, because the silly NFL won't let us watch the rest of that game.
