I think they are 4-4. I also think you need 6 wins to be bowl eligible. They still play at Tech, at osu and OU at home.

mangino better lay off the fried chicken breaks at halftime and start doing some coaching. kansas has been killed in the 2nd half the last 3 games. the last 3 games they've given up 75 points in the 2nd half and only scored 26

WACO, Texas (AP) -- Shawn Bell threw for a school-record 394 yards with three of his five touchdown passes coming in the final 9:22 to rally Baylor to a 36-35 victory over Kansas on Saturday.

Dominique Zeigler scored the winning touchdown with 1:08 left, catching a pass in the left flat and getting a tremendous block from fellow receiver Trent Shelton that allowed him to leap over another defender into the end zone.

After its third-biggest comeback ever, Baylor (4-4, 3-1 Big 12) has won three conference games for the first time and is .500 at its latest point in 10 years.

Bell finished 33-of-55, and the five TDs and his 18 this season are also school records.

Jon Cornish had a career-high 196 yards rushing, 140 by halftime. His two scoring runs just before halftime put Kansas (3-5, 0-4) ahead 35-17.

Cornish had a 24-yard run on the first play of the second half, and receiver Marcus Herford then overthrew a wide-open receiver in the end zone on a trick play before Scott Webb was wide right on a 42-yard field goal attempt on that same drive.

Those missed chances proved costly for Kansas, which a week earlier blew a 17-0 lead in a 42-32 loss at Oklahoma State.

Bell hit Shelton for a 42-yard TD to start Baylor's comeback. After Kansas punted, Zeigler caught a 60-yard pass to set up Paul Mosley's 4-yard TD on the next play that got the Bears within 35-31 with 4:48 left.

With Adam Barmann at quarterback after Kerry Meier was apparently hurt on the final play of the third quarter, Kansas was unable to pick up a first down and punted. The Bears took over at their 42 with 2:43 left.

On the play before the game-winning TD, Zeigler made an incredible stretching catch along the sideline, managing to drag his foot inbounds for a 13-yard gain on third-and-10. The play was reviewed and upheld.

Zeigler had seven catches for 122 yards and Shelton caught six passes for 104 yards and two touchdowns.

Meier never returned after he took a hard shot on the sideline at the end of an 8-yard run on the final play of the third quarter. It wasn't immediately clear what happened, but Meier missed three games earlier this season because of a shoulder injury.

Meier was 6-of-11 for 62 yards and a TD, and ran for 62 yards and a score.

Kansas has lost all three of its Big 12 trips to Waco, the others in 1998 and 2002 that were the bookends to Baylor's 29-game conference losing streak. The Jayhawks are 1-17 in conference road games under fifth-year coach Mark Mangino.

SicEm is usually on the board late at night on weekends. Maybe he is finally getting his weenie wet tonight. If any of you see an AMC Gremlin bouncing around in the woods near Waco you know who it is.

When I was at Baylor, we'd go to George's after a win. Best damn draft beer ever after a Baptist University win. Gawd, I miss those days. Those days we had Cody Carlson as QB, not unlike Shawn Bell. Baylor is now 3-0 against Big XII north. Suck on it, bitches.

Aye, I had my Big-O over at George's tent. Had some friends and my fish year roommate come into town for homecoming (I'm on the 10 year graduation plan). They insisted on leaving and grabbing some food just after Bell threw his 4th qtr pick becuase the game was "absolutely over." The only other time I've left a game early is when my ex g/f and her friends (all OU fans) came down for the Baylor/OU game a few years ago and insisted we leave after the 3rd quarter. :eyeroll:

I will never ever leave another Baylor game early. If I have to hitch a ride back then I will, but I missed out on witnessing one of the greatest comebacks in Baylor football history.

I should be ****ed at them, but we all started at Baylor during the Coach Carrot era so actually winning and coming back from behind is beyond their ability to imagine.

Spek to you.
