SETTING THE STAGE: The Sooners and Lions meet for the only time this season in today’s game at the ACHA D1 Showcase…Oklahoma beat No. 3 Penn State yesterday at the Showcase 5-3…Lindenwood beat No. 13 West Virginia at the Showcase by a score of 5-2…Oklahoma is ranked 7th in the most recent ACHA D1 coaches poll…Lindenwood is currently ranked 8th in the same poll…Like yesterday’s game, today’s game will be on the NHL rink at the Ice Zone.

LINDENWOOD NOTES: Lindenwood is a very familiar opponent to Oklahoma hockey fans as the two teams have played home-and-home series during the previous two seasons…This season, Lindenwood joined the Central States Collegiate Hockey League and CSCHL scheduling commitments prevented a continuation of the home-and-home series with the Sooners…The Sooners are 4-4-0 all-time against the Lions…On the road, OU is 3-1-0 all-time against Lindenwood while going 1-3-0 when hosting the Lions…Prior to the Showcase, Lindenwood split home series this season with Missouri State (ACHA D2) and Davenport (ACHA D2) and swept a home series against Missouri (ACHA D2)…Lions captain Dan McNabb returns for his senior season along with senior David Easterbrook, junior Quinn Henry and sophomore Henri St. Arnault…Junior Grahame Lippert remains the mainstay in the Lindenwood net for another season as well…After OU, Lindenwood will finish their stay at the Showcase with a Sunday game against No. 18 Duquesne.
