sorry BSG, not the kind you're thinking about.

Where do you guys play? I just signed up on party poker. Is there a better place? I doubt I make the jump to playing for real money but I might.

I cashed out when Dubya signed that new online gambling law last week. Fighting gambling terrorists is our #1 priority.

So, I'm going to wait until somebody finds a loophole.

Since you axed, I used to play on PokerStars and had lots of fun. When you get good, you can make lots of money at the cash tables. I wouldn't waste my time or money on tournaments.

are the cash games illegal? could I get into trouble with the law if I were to play for money online?

Please stay right there. Your IP address has been recorded and the FBI will be there shortly.

The new law only applies to banks, not individuals. All the publicly traded comanpies are shutting down to U.S. players but there are plenty of privately held companies out there still open for business as usual.

The law basically say that it's illegal for a bank to transfer funds from the U.S. directly to a gambling site offshore. There's nothing in the bill about actual gambling on an individual level.

Basically, our brilliant government just assured themselves they will never see a red cent of taxes on offshore gambling winnings and nothing more.

I like the way the Tournys and the SitNgo games go.

There is a free Satellite entry too.

Seriously. Is George W. Bush the stupidest president ever?

I can't believe I voted for him. Twice.

I play on PokerRoom.com because I don't have to download anything to my computer.

...which would be difficult anyway since I run Linux with Mozilla. Does anybody else know any java-based sites besides PokerRoom.com? Taking U.S. deposits would be a huge bonus, although I'm cleaning up at PokerRoom this weekend thanks to all the U.S. donks trying to double their money by Monday...

...just like me, minus the donk part. :D

I know Pinnacle Sports will be opening up a poker room in the next few months.
Since their casino is java-based, I would assume their poker room will be as well.
Oh, and they will have no problem with taking U.S. deposits.
I don't know of any other java poker sites.
