finally went out to a bar since I've been here. This town blows chunks( Chunks is yermom's dog for those of you keeping score at home). I ran into Brian Shackelford and talked to him a while. He siad that he would probably get called back up next season and he was just laying low for a while. He and my brother played baseball together one summer in Kenai, Alaska for the Penninsula Oilers. My brother later beat his *** at L Dale Mitchell when OU was ranked #2.

Anyhoo, I walked up to him and said 'You look familiar, what's your name?' He looked at me crazy like he thought I was about to punch him and said, 'Brian'. I was all 'Hey, I'm 1TC' and he was all 'Yeah, I remember you, you're <insert brother's name here> brother.

and I ran over a racoon leaving the rig. The buzzards haven't got him ripped open as of an hour ago.

This town blows chunks...

Yes it does. I got a little change of scenery a couple of days ago--I went home for 10 hrs. (and I only got close to hitting a doe, d'oh!).

Those McAlester folks can only dream to be the meth kings these hillbilly Atokans are.

I knew a gal many years ago who was from McAlester who eventually got the hell out. She sent me a picture of the town once, and the main street looked like some place that Burt Reynolds would go flying through in his souped-up Trans Am, with Jackie Gleason trying to run him down.

Dang it guys - Williesan now needs Italian food quick. Thanks alot!

Seriously, my mom and her family are originally from there. They wised up and moved out as soon as they could. I still visit from time to time just for the food and Choc beer at Pete's.

(Then again when your cousin is the grandson of Pete himself... you get to see items that are not usually on the menu, and get your supply of beer gratis. ;)
