I don't think so, although the tribes are certainly giving Vegas a run for its money as more and more folks decide to throw their money away closer to home.

I'm not a gambler, but I love Las Vegas. The tribal casinos will never be able to touch the scale of that place, and that's what attracts people like me.

Gonna be awhile before I go back. Blackjack games are now pretty much succ everywhere. Binions has only 1 single deck game, at a $25 table. 4 Queens has only 1 single deck game at a $5 table that's always 3-deep with fleas and Grandmas. Pretty much everywhere else is multiple deck games paying 6/5 odds on a BJ instead of 3/2.

You might as well just set fire to your money.

You can still get a good game at the El Cortez, but it's a craphole.

6/5? wow.

are they cheap bastards, or are they needing to scrape that much of an edge to get by now?

I love Vegas. I'll go every chance I get. I only play craps anyway.

hell no, they are just greedy. The price of everything is up in Vegas. Food isn't cheap anymore, unless you want crap. Drinks are expensive, unless you are gambling a lot. Shows are expensive, unless you gamble enough to comp tickets.

It's not as cheap as it used to be. Heck even 2 years ago you could still find some cheap drinks even if you weren't gambling. Tequila Joes was cheap cheap before 7 pm, now that place is gone and the new place wants 13 bucks for a 12 frozon premix something-or-other.

Pure and simple greed.

We did have a pretty good burger at some place in the Desert Passage when we saw jaws....where was that FEAR?

It was "Cheeseburger - Las Vegas"... and it was pretty tasty.
