Do you guys NOT feel stupid doing the waving wheat thing in KU's stadium? You did steal it from them, ya know!:rolleyes:

Oh, and if by some horrible chance an aggy shows up, be prepared to be told how they actually made it up.

Let's just hope they don't show up.

Among the other things Schmidly "appropriated" when he came to aggy from sandstorm central was Tech's fingerbang, which was renamed "pistols firing". The waving wheat thing always makes me think of the end of Journey's "Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin' ".

For some reason, Nebraska does this too. It irritates that hell out of me.

It's not nearly as annoying as playing "Sirius" at the beginning of football games and calling that "Tradition". :rolleyes:

Some other things they are stealing:

They have now started putting their arms on each others shoulders and swaying from side to side at basketball games. (see aTm)

They have started stealing land. (see Sooners) ;)

If they cant have tradition, by golly they will buy it or steal it.

The difference, I believe, is that we don't claim to have invented that music, just perfected it. OTOH, the pukes are first class plagiarists.

We cannibalized Yale's fight song AND North Carolina's. But it's not like we went out and saw another school with a male spirit group that fired off shotguns and carried paddles and went, "Dude, we SO made that up! See, look how we're doing it now!!"

Yale hasn't effectively used it in awhile though...
