Apple has warned video iPod users that some of its most recently shipped devices may include a Windows virus.

The company said a small number of video iPods made after 12 September included the RavMonE virus. It said it has seen fewer than 25 reports of the problem, which it said does not affect Macs or the player itself.

As you might imagine, we are upset at Windows for not being more hardy against such viruses, and even more upset with ourselves for not catching it.

Seriously? Seriously?!


In related news, a spokesman for the spinach farm where the recent E. coli contamination originated said, "As you might imagine, we are upset at the infirm and the elderly for not being more hardy against such bacteria...."

That is a stupid, stupid quote. When your company sends out a bunch of virus-infected hardware to unsuspecting consumers, it's not the proper time to take a swipe at a competitor.

Yeah, and you were fortunate when you bought you current iPod. Even if there had been such a virus back then, it probably wouldn't have fit on yours.

Heh. Do you think he gives you extra neg if you start a thread with "skanky" in the title? Surely that counts for more than just using "skanky" or its misspelling, "skany" in a post. What if you start a thread with "skany" in the title?
