So I'm watchin' UFC III and IV

man has this sport changed in 10 years.

I think UFC III was actually the first UFC promotion I was able to watch.

In the beginning you could do everything but bite and gouge the eyes.

The fights were actually tourney style and started and ended the same night. The winner would sometimes fight 3 times in less than 2-3 hours.

The Ken Shamrock of 1995 could kick the arse of the Ken Shamrock of 2006.

He seemed to be very very powerful back then and could counter any takedown with strength alone.

When he fought Tito Ortiz, Shamrock was taken down with ease--showed how strong and quick Ortiz is, and how much steroids helped Shamrock :)
