They're calling that a tradition now? They only made that up about 5 years ago. I always thought the cowbell cheer was kind of ghey.

They should focus on bringing back the LOUD.

well...i don't see that so much as an example of them changing traditions, i see it as an example of making the band into a bunch of pansies.

I can't believe this group. How could a group of young adults rally to support something that is CLEARLY disrespectful and over the line? How dare you think that as a member of the Pride of Oklahoma you have the right to put your team over its opponent. Life is not about winning or losing; it's about making EVERYONE feel as if they are a winner. This way everyone will like you and you will never hurt anyone's feelings.

If anyone objects to my positive attitude, I invite you to make a list of these objections in a bulleted Word document and fax it over to my secretary. E-mail my secretary and we will arrange a time to have a positive, upbeat, and fruitful discussion. Neither of us will be wrong, so we may just have to agree to disagree.

Given enough time, brian would have changed this. I think a lot of the time when he says he gets complaints, he just uses that as a crutch to get rid of something. He says he never thought that it was unsportsmanlike, but he knew he just didnt have the ammo to get rid of it.
