We held Kansas, Nebraska, Missorui, Colorado, Oklahoma State, Iowa State, Kansas State and Texas... to a combined ZERO POINTS.

One game from a early National Title too..

Interestingly...we would have probably shared the title with TCU. The next year (1939) would be A&M's one and only title. Wowww....the last time they won, the Germans had not bombed Pearl Harbor!!!!

such a great defense and yet they still only managed about 15,000 people in the stands!! those fans were more fickle than today's fans!

actually we wouldnt have won the title that year even if we beat Tennessee. There was no voting after the bowls. Whoever was #1 before the bowls was the champ.
