I love lamp.
Seriosuly, the living room was really dim, but now it has an extra 360 watts of illumination! Well, except I put two compact fluorescent bulbs in instead of incandescents, so it's only pulling 102 watts at full power!

My living room used to be really poorly lit-vaulted ceiling with only one fixture with one solitary bulb.
Finally went up there with a ladder and installed some track lighting. My living room=face of the sun now.

You should have got a lava lamp. And a copy of Dark Side of the Moon. And a beanbag chair. And a spliff. And invited me over.

sad thing is there is actually some track lighting--3 bulbs...all pointed at walls away from where we sit. they had them aimed at posters on the walls... dont' do a lot of good.

You know you can re-aim them, right? That's kind of the point of track lighting.

yeah, but I could spend $100 dollars on a ladder to reach the damned track lighting or I could spend $40 on a new lamp. ;)
I love it when laziness masquerades as "being good at math". :D

Of course, then you'd have a ladder.
I'm sure that someone of your stature can find all kinds of uses for a ladder.
Like reaching the top of the kitchen counter, for one.

...I just wanted to point that out.
If you had a ladder, you could punch him in the junk.

PG just said she's in here discussing the new lamp with "Fry and Boze".
And I took the "I love lamp" line because I was thinking "HA! Let's see what those f***ers can come up with NOW!" to myself as I did it. ;)
Oh, and I think I was temporarily typing with a Japanese accent when I wrote "seriosuly" - I guess asian rubs off. ;)

Heh. I have no response to that, despite the fact that I set it up perfectly.

When it gets crushed that hard, sometimes all you can do is just stand there and admire it as it flies out of the park...:D
