Texas getting beat up by the computers15th right now:

USC getting a lot of computer love too. Computers hate WV.

I really liked that quality win component they used to have.

This stuff will all change every week...
Especially if the SEC schools keep beating eachother.

Interesting to see that Tennessee is ranked lower than California. Didn't Tennessee make them look silly the first week?

Yeah, and Mich and OSU still have to play each other. And the big xii looks weaky this year. UT's computer rankings don't look to get too much better.

WVU's opponents are like 14-25 and that includes one D-1aa team. They get what they deserve.

There is some serious seperation between #3 and the rest. #4 to #10 could change at the drop of a dime. Look how close they are.

Just as long as whorns, suc and domer don't even get to the NC game, I'll be placated.

Go Tulsa!

No kiddin'. Unbelievable for a little "bush league" mid-major out in the sticks, huh?

I was worried about Texas' low showing at first. But then I saw the computers ranked Tulsa eight whole spots ahead of the Sooners, and figured, how could I put any confidence in anything they say??

I hate to bring this up, but what happened to the correction we were supposed to get after everyone saw how we got hosed by Oregon?

I hate to say this but I think I have turned a corner and only wish bad things for that team. I used to be on the "I don't really like or dislike them" street but I find myself on the "I almost hate them more than USC" street and that's actually saying alot.

The only Oregon "correction" is that Texas is seriously suffering from the same bad call at this point. We'd probably be No. 4 or 5 right now with a decent chance of repeating if not for that call. I could whine more about it, but it's just the system.

By the way, I'm not saying we deserve to be there as I agree that there is a great deal of separation right now between tOSU and Michigan from the rest of the pack. USC has strung together too many close wins over crappy opponents for me to put them up there with the 2 Big Ten teams.

I'm not sure which is more funny.

1. Tulsa in the BCS.

or

2. Oklahoma has more teams in the BCS than Texas.

Well Oklahoma having more teams than Texas will change eventually...
What I DO NOT find funny, is the fact that Tulsa is right behind of US!

I know they were trying to fix the BCS, but they really screwed it up. They need to go back to the old formula, with strength of schedule and give credit for margin of victory.

Oh God, I forgot how none of the newbs know this. SOS is taken into account in computer and human polls. STOP REPEATING THIS GARBAGE.

Happens every freken year.

They did tweak the SOS a couple years back, but you are absolutely right about the computer polls.

Unfortunately, while some voters in human polls take it seriously and consider SOS, many just look at scores and maybe some stats. And of course...where they went to school!

Way to support your conference.
