Anyone tried this cereal? It is some kind of nasty. When i poured it in a bowl it had a funny smell to it. I don't think cereal is supposed to have a funny smell. I ate a spoonfull or two of it and it was awful. So I gave it to my dog. He wasn't wild about it, but he ate it. He eats brussel sprouts though. The Kashi needed something - like ketchup maybe, or a beer chaser.

Sure that wasn't the milk gone bad?

Kashi...sounds like it's Japanese...which would explain the funky smell and taste. :twinkies:

Every Kashi product I've tried has been pretty good. Of course, that's all of about two of them.

I can't eat a cereal with such earnest-looking people on the box.

Yeah, that'd throw me off my breakfast too.

Are they the makers of Good Friends cereal? That box always makes me laugh.

I've had Kashi a few times. Very healthy cereal with high protein, but the taste isn't worth it.

It's like eating tree bark mixed with unseasoned popcorn.

This mess I got is the Go Lean Kashi. Which should tell you right off the bat that all of the tasty stuff has been eliminated. Ingredients consist of Long Grain Brown Rice (not my favorite breakfast food), Rye, Hard Red Winter Wheat, Triticale, Buckwheat, Barley, Sesame Seeds and Chickory Root Fiber. In other words "yuck". The box says "to help you feel surprisingly unhungry all morning" - no chit Sherlock. I think the unhungry has something to do with nausea!!

It's OK. Kind of a bran cereal taste. Not as good as peanut butter flavored Captain Crunch but it's edible.

I didn't like the cereal. I do like Kashi snack bars. I particularly like the "trail mix" flavor. I also like the frozen dinners. So, although the cereal is wretched, the whole brand is not.

At least we know of one creature that'll eat it...
