I was not aware of this until today. Iggy fibbed said he needed to run an errand and took me over there and bought icecream for me and it was AWESOME. :D

What did you get? They had an oatmeal cookie dough last year that was killer. My kids just get strawberry with sprinkles.

You know there's a Marble Slab by Barnes and Noble, right?

Marble Slab doesn't make the raspberry and lemon sorbets that ColdStone does. Hence PG's excitement.

I don't know that I'd let The Boz mix me up some cream.

i don't get the sorbet because i think it's healthier, i get it because it is AWESOME!!

i really like the sweet cream icecream too. it's tasty. And I usually just get sprinkles mixed into stuff because i don't like anything fancy. Rarely i'll get white chocolate chips or oreos or something, but i still prefer sprinkles.

We had some cold stone icecream this evening. It was pretty "meh". I would have been happier buying a half gallon of braum's ice cream and it would have been $6 cheaper. And let's not EVEN compare it to Rusty's Frozen Custard.

Marble Slab is better than Cold Stone.

Every time I see this thread, I hear Jim Ross screaming "STONE COLD! STONE COLD!! STONE COLD!!!!"

Of course, that's probably just because I'm half-white-trash on my mother's side...

Agreed, but still not really a ton better than anything else. I don't see how these guys get off charging so much for a little bit of ice cream.

But then again, norm=cheap.

Even me?no, not you.

I'd go to Braum's if it didn't require a plane trip...

The Cold Stone raspberry sherbet is awesome. The regular ice cream is okay, but usually not worth the $3.50.

The thing that gets me at Marble Slab is they do not prepare your order on Marble. Its Granite. Call it Granite Slab morans.

Just sayin. :D

I do like their Cold Stone's lemmon sherbert its the best. I don't really like anything else there. I love braums. PG have you tried braums cherry limeade sherbert. It's like face puckering crack.

There's a place like Cold Stone in Waco called Maggie Moo's...it's pretty good but it's waaaay overshadowed by......Katie's Frozen Custard.

When you people come down here for your whipping be sure to drop by Katie's Frozen Custard for your favorite flavor. That's Katie's Frozen Custard on Valley Mills and something.

They normally have it up at the counter. They only sometimes carry it by the gallon. It's awesome it has real cherries in it.

Marble slab has better cones then Cold Stone, and thus wins.

(Except I don't have either one close to me right now, might have to get some BR tonight, you bastards)

THAT is some nasty stuff. I bought some on sale, tried one bowl, threw the rest in the trash.

As the premier connoisseur of Iced Cream in the world, I decree Cold Stone as the best chain. I get strawberry sorbet mixed with lemon sorbet with sprinkles. The acid of the lemon mixes well with the sweet of the strawberry, and the chalky sprinkles give that variance in texture that makes great ice cream great.

Eat it, punks. :D
