SETTING THE STAGE: The Sooners and Weber State meet for the first of four games this season between the two clubs…OU has an all-time record of 2-2-2 against Weber State…The Sooners are 0-1-1 against Weber State in Ogden…Last year, the Sooners and Wildcats played to a 2-2 tie in the first game in Utah…OU lost a heartbreaker the following night, giving up two Weber State goals in the final minute of play in a 5-4 loss…Oklahoma is ranked 9th in the most recent ACHA D1 coaches poll…Weber State is currently ranked 13th in the same poll…The Weber County Ice Sheet is an Olympic-sized rink, meaning that the ice rink is 200 feet x 100 feet, as opposed to an NHL-sized rink which is 200 feet x 85 feet.

OKLAHOMA NOTES: Sooners forward Adrian Borchgrevink leads the Sooners in goals with 9, followed by forward Kevin Kennedy and defenseman Danny Force who have 5 goals each…Borchgrevink also leads the Sooners in points with 13, followed by defenseman Trey Snow with 10 points and D-man Robert Hetrick and forward Owen Brewer who each have 9 points on the season so far…Sooners forward Jordan Novak will not be playing for OU this weekend due to illness…Tonight’s game marks the beginning of a seven-game stretch against ACHA D1 opponents for the Sooners…Oklahoma has a 31-12-3 all-time record in games played on Friday night and a 6-6-2 all-time record when those games are on the road.

WEBER STATE NOTES: The Wildcats lost nine seniors from last season’s squad that finished 10th in the nation…Weber State played at Arizona State last weekend, winning the first game 3-1 but losing 8-3 in the second game…Kyle Gover returns this season as the mainstay in net for Weber State and currently has a 3.97 goals against average…Returning forwards Nick Micek and Michael Spawton, along with newcomer Anton Volkov, lead Weber State in scoring with 4 points each…Micek and defenseman Aaron Dufford lead the Wildcats in penalty minutes with 12 each so far this season.
