Every new season, they sit all the returning players down and they all watch highlights of the new recruits. In other words, the message is, "no job is safe."

It's a subtle, but pointed way of reminding players that they had better not coast.

I do agree. Too much talent on the team and coming in. There shouldn't be such thing as a starting job for players.
