why would anyone listen to WWLS when KREF is available. I would take real sports talk over fart jokes and Uncle any day.

I keep pondering going to the broadcasting school a few miles away from me for that reason. I can't be any worse than their current talent, and it'd give me an excuse to get back home.

Sadly, and I do mean sadly, the guy who does Uncle is the only one of them with a chance to break out of the OKC market. When he's not doing Uncle, he's actually tolerable. The rest of them just suck.

my biggest gripes with the sports animal (as if anyone cares):
morning show: fart jokes and topics I could have read about on the internet 6 months ago
midmornings: who cares, boring, I don't care about hearing the hosts buddies call in.
traber: big bully. doesn't even want sports discussion, just wants everyone to agree with him.
al: too much bs.

once I was out of KREF's range on my way to Dallas, I had to listen to a full hour of WWLS before I was in range of the ticket. In that hour, they talked baseball, had about 25+ minutes of commercials, took their first (of 3) calls at 43 minutes after the hour. They ended up taking 3 calls, of those one just happened to be from the owner of tickets unlimited and one just happened to be from the owner of Paris Limo service (both schlubbed it up little with the hosts and then gave a plug for their companies). The third was a guy who thought OU would win, when asked to explain why OU would win, he explained that he just had a feeling.

Ridiculous. The only thing worse than the hosts are the mindless callers.
