Is there anyway I can get some soundbites of his pre and post game rants on the web?

Why?

Get C Heston's Firing Line off the podcast link. It's funny. Everytime I hear uncle, I want to take a 12 ga. to my radio/computer.

Why?

probbably because he thinks that uncle is funny. I know I do.

lol i didn't ask for an opinion, i asked if there was somewhere i could get soundbites of the guy.

yes, the man is hilarious and if you can't get a chuckle out of him then that's your prob, not mine.

if anyone knows how to get a soundbite of him it would be cool, classic Sooner humor.

When you post on SF.com you are basically asking for an opinion, especially if it has to do with wwls. I find his voice equal to that of fingernails on a chalkboard.

That should be a poll.

Which one? The opinion part or the nails on chalkboard part?

If I were to post a thread asking where I could get the craptasticness of x-men 3 on dvd for cheap on SO, I would get hammered with ???? I could care less, I've moved past you.... noob

CrimsonChampion

lol, i asked for a soundbite of the uncle on a sports radio station, on a sports website, in a sports message board.. if u asked for an xmen whatever in here you probably wouldn't get an opinion, you'd more than likely just get laughed at... noob

Sorry but listening to Uncle makes my ears bleed. When he comes on the radio I change the channel fast. I'd rather listen to Al sing My Humps than listen to 30 seconds of Uncle.

Hearing either Uncle or "Football Firing Line" makes me want to blow up my radio to save me having to pierce my own eardrums. In fact, about half of the Morning Animals show is just too annoying to be listenable.

AFAIK, "Uncle" is just Steely screaming his lungs out.

Uh...........................................I thought everyone knew that was Steely.

You didn't for a second think this was someone else...or a real fan, did you?

Okay...let's review. Some people like Uncle and the Firing Line cause it breaks up the "...how's our recruiting of that left tackle in Newcastle going and I'll listen off the air, thanks" calls. Some people don't. People, just appreciate The Animal for talking about OU stuff. Try morning sports talk in Phoenix where we hear stuff about the Sun Devils, Cardinals and D-Backs!!!

At least the Suns get started soon!

i don't mind steely's bit because it's just based on the general attitude of ou fans. but if you've heard it once....

i mean, how many times can he predict the score to be 97 to -2.?

It was funny once, about 8 years ago.

Chuck Heston, otoh, cracks me the hell up!

Steeley has gotten so old he breaks out of his Uncle character more often than Horatio Sans.

Another vote for "Football Firing Line." That is, if this were a pole.

The morning "uncle" called Gordo Riese, I thought here is a chance for some good humor...nope....was not funny at all...my friends when you have an opening like that, it should produce at least a chuckle

The Uncle might be the worst radio personality produced. An embarrassment. The Animal is also horrible for sports radio. If you want something that is half-way decent try this:

http://www.theticket.com - there is one Sooner Homer on from 330 - 700

From what I know, the material is all Steely. The voice over is an impersonator out of state that records the show weekly.

I got sick of Uncle when he started ragging about the war, and that's been several years now.

Here's another vote for "the big Hesty." Can't get enough of Football Firing Line.

So weird. I hate "football firing line". The couple of times I have tried to listen to it, there wasnt anything funny about it. Now I just change it whenever it starts.

But to each their own.

I love the Stoops Thanksgivings on WWLS. Steely's rendition of Pat Jones is right on. He also does a pretty good Bob Barry Jr.

I saw him perform at a get together for Sooner fans in New Orleans. He was very silly, but the crowd seemed to get a kick out of him.
