I miss spinach salads and spinach on my sandwiches and spinach artichoke dips.

When will it be safe to eat spinach again? Too bad they didn't recall all the iceberg lettuce.

I didn't even know Subway had spinach.

The Chicken Cabo at Quiznos comes with mixed greens instead of iceberg. And quacamole. And bacon.

I think I need a moment.

Lies! LIES, I SAY!! I'm as pure as the driven snow.

Or rather, snow that has been driven through. With really muddy tires.

I say go ahead and eat it. I am. Great for building up your intestinal fortitude - so to speak. What doesn't kill you will make you stronger.

Spinach is in the clear.

Lettuce, on the other hand, not so much.

Yeah, if you're 70.

Seriously, if you die from e.coli...it was probably your time to go anyways.

Iceberg lettuce is teh succ. Spinach salads are infinitely better...throw in some granny smith apples, pecans, cheese, vinagrette...good eats.

And fuddermore, why don't they, like, recall and/or ban stuff like rutabagas, canned asparagus (the ultimate nasty!), or grapes what ain't sweet?
I ask you, WHY? WHY?
Oh, the humanity!

So the ban on spinach has been lifted for months now. Still, I have been able to find a total of ONE Subway who will put it on my sandwich. It's the one west of Broadway on 23rd.

Yet they all still serve that grody iceberg lettuce.

Spinach is nothin but a vial weed.

But it's a tasty weed full of nutrients.
