Do yourself a favor and buy the extra warranty. Mine just cratered with the "3 lights of death" on the power button...1 month past the standard 3 month warranty....200.00 to repair it.

$200? Surely there's someone who's figured out a way to fix it for cheap.

I'm sure you made more than enough in Vegas to cover it.

Do yourself a favor and wait until they have the kinks worked out, there's a large library of games, and the price has dropped to $129.

Fixed.

speaking of game consoles, the Wii is out in a month, for $250... that may be worth a look later on when some more games are released, knowing that the PS3 is gonna be $2,000,000... ($700?)

Knowing Nintendo, the games for the Wii will probably be a lot of fun to play, but geared toward younger kids.

If I have money, I'll have to get a 360 about the time Halo 3 comes out.

That's supposed to be changing with the Wii.

I bought mine at the initial release. It died not long after the warranty. I threw a huge fit. Ask the manager dude how he can sleep at night lying his *** off to people all day. He kept saying the corporate line of bs about how there are no documented flaws in the system. I of course continued to ask why everyone I knew that had a 360 had problems with it at some point. Anyway, I ended up getting the guy so ****ed that he hung up on me. I called back and got a much more pleasant lady who took care of it for me at no cost. Anyway, just a few weeks later microsoft announced that they were extending the waranty on the initial release models...heh.

this is how bad it is...Microsoft sends me a box to return my console, I package it up and take it to UPS office, the counter guy is in another room and as he walks into the counter area, about 8-10 foot from my package he says "Returning an XBOX?...pieces of crap." He knew what I had before he even got close to the package.
