Wow. You mean OU actually handed off to the fullback back then... thats unheard of. Maybe since Stoops is showing old films of OU beating Texas to the team, someone should show him this one.

I'm sorry if you disagree but for my money there has never been a play that is more beautiful to watch when perfectly executed than the triple option. Watching Jamelle run that offense was beautiful.

uhm... that was lydell carr, patrick collins and anthony phillips running the ball... want to know how I know? THEY HAD THEIR NAMES ON THE BACK OF THEIR JERSEYS.

This is the first time I've realized the impact of not having them. The future will suffer.

I agree. There's also something beautiful when you've got talent, speed, and execution such that you can line up and tell the D what you're going to run. But they can't stop it.

Was he running around the Cotton Bowl that day? I could have sworn Jason White was dropping bombs that day... :D

Q was a bronco when we dropped 65 on the whorns. In the 00 game, I believe he had less than 100 yards along with 6 tds.

I still think that P Collins was the fastest Sooner.

I miss the 'bone; what a great collection of running backs; Lydell Carr, Leon Perry,Earl Johnson, and Rotnei Anderson at FB; Spencer Tillman, Anthony Stafford, Patrick Collins, and Eric Mitchel at RB, and Jamelle and Charles Thompson at QB; WOW!!! How quickly we forget how great those teams were

I still think that P Collins was the fastest Sooner. Him or Stafford. D00ds could fly.

Say what you will, but I also miss the white shoes. White shoes make you look faster. Some teams still wear them and I wish we still did.

I'll never forget those teams with Collins, Lydell, Staff, Jamelle, Boz, Murph, Keith and Barry, and everyone else. Tons o' fun on the field and around town, too.

I would've liked to have seen AD run in the bone back then.

Man, there is no denying, when the wishbone was clicking, it was a beautiful thing to watch (damned Miami).

I wonder if one of our O-Lineman today could make it 40 yards down field to throw a block...
