Hamill is a good wrestler and can strike, but he's got some work to do if he wants to move up in the UFC IMO.

Ed Herman got schooled . . . Jason McDonald comes from outta no where with the triangle.

I thought Chuck Liddell had to fight someone in November...it was announced at the last Ortiz-Shamrock tilt.

hard to believe he used to be even a little bit dangerous.

Liddell vs. Silva won't be happening anytime soon I don't think . . .

Tell me about it. The Ken Shamrock of '06 definitely ain't the Shamrock of '95. Quite sad actually. I always thought he was that one fighter that would always wiggle his way off the mat and gain the advantage.

I remember when he beat Dan Severn. I just knew "The Beast" would steamroll him. Then all of his classic fights with Royce Gracie and Kimo. Come to think of it, I've got UFC's 1-6 at home. I think I'll watch some old school UFC later this week.

My boyfriend made me watch this with him and his friends. One of said friends is a chef, so he was cooking, and I ended up sitting in the living room with his mom, watching this thing.

It looked pretty gay to me... just sayin. Sweaty guys grabbing each other, ripped shorts, legs around the waists.....

Sometimes the MMA uneducated see it that way. Watch a few more exciting fights with some real punches and you'll be hooked. :D

What's wrong with sweaty guys grabbing each other, ripped shorts, and legs around the waist (If you're into that sort of stuff). :)

Did your boyfriend ask you to step into the octagon with him? All of that stuff sounds pretty good, except the part where you're doing it with another guy.

Doing it with another guy? What are you talking about?

I havent been asked to step into the octagon. Though we should. We're constantly accidentally hitting each other. Hes elbowed me in the face, hit me in the mouth.... but I elbowed him in his nose, so its all good.

I felt pretty good, though, because the guys were all placing bets on how the fight would turn out. I said Ortiz would take him out in the first round. No one believed me... boys...

I meant the whole getting into the ring, grabbing crotches, wrapping your legs around each other, ripped shorts, ... All that sounds good to me. The part about it being two guys doesn't.

hey Micco I got a question for you?

do you remember Chuck Liddell as a college wrestler? I don't. Also did Trigg wrestle at OU

also anyone that you remember from wrestling that you'd like to see in the Octagon?

Ah yes, I remember college, sitting around, drinking beer, waching UFC with friends' moms. Good times indeed.

Yea, but the weird part was all the guys were in the kitchen. Why cant I make friends with normal people? I guess my first mistake with that endeavor was to sign up on SFs.com... lol.

Trigg wrestled for OSU, basically flunked out I believe, wrestled for a JC in Pheonix, Arizona, then wrestled for OU, where I believe he was AA for us (not 100% sure though).

I don't remember Chuck Liddell as a wrestler, but I know he wrestled for Cal Poly San Louis Obispo.

Other wrestlers I'd like to see...Brands. Either one. They are mean and vicious enough to win, so I'd look like a genious for picking them.

And since I hate them with a passion known only to few, if they ever lost and had their arms decapitated, I'd be happy with that too.

It's a win-win, either way. ;)

Alan Freid was a mean mutha, when he needed to be. I'm trying to keep it in the last 10 or so years, since they didn't have UFC "back in the day". Otherwise, Mark Tatum was a HWT wrestler for us, and he may have been the meanest man on campus back when Boz was here.

In reality, any wrestler would probably have a fighting chance so to speak just off their wrestling abilities alone. Throw in one who actually knows how to punch (trickier than you would think), and you've got a recipe for a great fighter.

I'll try to think of some more here in a little bit.
