Well I will say this. It is very rare that I walk out of a movie and say"Damn that was a god ****ing movie."

When I walked out on Sunday I said "Damn thats a good ****ing movie"

My favorite movies of all time are in no particlar order, Pulp Fiction, The Godfather I,and II, The Usual Suspects, and Citizen Kane. This was up there with all of those movies.

It was un****ing belivable.

Go see this movie. I am going again

Reservoir Dogs > Pulp Fiction. Otherwise, Doleo's list is solid.

Doleo was right. Damn. That was a good ****ing movie. The only thing that bugged me was the psychiatrist chick and her big, distractingly fake collagen lips. I wanted to punch her. Then again, the movie probably brought out some of my latent violent tendencies.

Martin Scorsese is seriously awesome. Think I'll pop in Goodfellas right now.

Hm. Why do you assume the psychiatrist was a man? A psychiatrist would have a field day with that one...

Just not this psychiatrist. Because she wasn't convincing in her role even slightly.

And judging by the amount of man-water she took on in the film, I'm guessing that she wasn't allergic to water at all.

Alec Baldwin and Marky Mark were both really good in their parts. I had no idea AB had such great comic timing. Then again, great directors like Scorsese can bring out the best in their actors. Has Sharon Stone ever before or since been as good as she was in Casino?

Alec Baldwin was definitely funny on SNL, and he's the only decent thing on that new crap show on NBC. His Pete Schwetty skit was in the top 5 SNL moments of all time.

Back to that matter at hand. For those that have seen the movie:

What was in the letter that he gave to her that she was supposed to open if something happened to him or if he called her? I'm assuming it was something that exonerated him, but they never actually said.

Was Mark Wahlberg a rat, or was he just getting street justice? Maybe he was the recipient of what was in the letter?

It wasn't stated, but I think it's safe to assume that the baby was Leo's. Right?

Pretty stinking good movie.

while, i guess it's possible it's Leo's kid, where does it hint that it is?

Marky Mark didn't need to see the letter to know who Leo was, but i think he did to know who Matt Damon was, the letter probably said to find him and tell him, specifically, since he was the only one alive that knew the truth about his identity

I think the hint is that Damons character had sexual problems (remember her telling him it happens to a lot of guys and it's not that big of a deal?), plus they actually showed the love scene with her and Leo, so you KNOW they had sex.

I still don't think the letter was made clear. She already knew Damon was the rat (even though Leo didn't know that she knew when he gave it to her). I think what was in the letter had to have something to do with telling Wahlberg about it.

I wish they hadn't left that stuff open. I don't like to think and guess... ;)

Scorcese deserved the Oscar for this one.

It absolutely deserved to win. My wife liked it too. I went to the movies and watched it solo (I have no problem going to the theater alone), then I rented it the other night so she could watch it. I kinda figured she'd like it, but I didn't think she would as much as I did (I also really enjoyed it the second time around). I think the eye candy she was treated to didn't hurt things either... and by eye candy, I mean I was butt naked on the couch while the average looking dudes were on the screen.

I'm not much of a movie-person, but last weekend my wife purchased this on In Demand® and asked me to watch it with her. I didn't want to, but when I saw Jack Nicholson, I didn't quit watching it till it was over. What an actor that guy is. If you want to see Jack Nicholson literally play himself, then watch the old movie called "One Flew Over The Cuckcoo's Nest."
