Is this place in Norman open yet? For some reason I feel a need to check it out. I need some grocerys. I normal avoid places like this and walmart like the plague.

Yes, it's open. But now, it's super busy and Wal Mart is easy to get around inside.

Unfortunately, not only is Walmart cheaper, but it's WAY closer to me.

If the locations were reversed, I'd gladly pay more.

I drive across town to Target and there is a wal-mart right behind my house.

Oh, and the grocery is pretty expensive and it didn't appear like they have such an awesome selection. Steaks were like $10 a pound.

Their produce is rotten.

Any word on what will happen with the old Target?

The word I've heard is that Hobby Lobby will be moving into the old Target building.

I love Super Target. I haven't been to the one in Norman yet, but I love the one on Memorial.

Yeah, but try gettin' some WD-40 and a tap and die set at SuperTarget.

"Son, just tell me where your hammers are. You do have hammers at Mega-Lo Mart right?"

It's cleaner than Wal-Mart.

And red. Lots of red. I hope you like red because...well...it's red. 'N stuff.

I'd appreciate more reports on the prices. Usually the benefit of those places is that they are cheaper than dedicated grocery stores like Albertson's.

HEB is cheaper down here. The only advantage is one stop shopping instead of more.

HEB is one of the few more regional companies that can take Walmart head on for prices. They've run Alberson's and some others out of town long before Walmart started with the groceries.

When I lived in Abilene I loved this place. It is by far the best place I have ever shopped.

The Super Target in Norman is actually a "Phase 3" Target or something like that. Essentially that just means it's bigger than most Super Targes. It's one of the first, maybe THE first, Phase 3 Targets in the nation.

So what the heck does that even mean?

Do they have cooler stuff there? Cause Rhino and I have to start our registry :)

Well, I'm pretty sure Phase 1 is "Steal Underpants".

That Super Target is nothing to write home about...I've seen Meijer stores in Ohio far better than that place, and they've been around much longer.

HEB...the answer to my prayers (and far cheaper than the commissary here at Randolph).

HEB is awesome. I worked for their central office a couple summers and it was a blast. Their tech department needed a lot of help, but everyone else knew what they were doing. Good times.

It's ok. Target hasn't quite figured out groceries yet. I like their private label better than most. The peach pear soda is real good.

They have a bunch of Disney Princess stuff in the dollar bin right now. They close at 10:00... too early for a college town.

Well it's a better name than "Butt Grocery Company", anyway. :D
