SOONERS TRAVEL TO No. 13 WEBER STATE
No. 9 OKLAHOMA HITS THE ROAD FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS SEASON

THIS WEEK’S GAMES - The University of Oklahoma® hockey club (4-0-0) takes to the road for the first time this season as they travel to Ogden, Utah for a pair of games against Weber State University (1-2-0) this weekend. Oklahoma has an all-time record of 2-2-2 against Weber State and 0-1-1 against the Wildcats in Ogden. Face-off on both nights will be at 8:15 PM MDT at the Weber County Ice Sheet. No broadcast of the Oklahoma vs. Weber State games from Ogden is expected this weekend.

LAST WEEK’S OU HOCKEY GAMES – Oklahoma did not play last weekend. The last OU Hockey games were two weeks ago at home against UNLV. The Sooners beat the Rebels 13-1 in the Friday game and completed the sweep Saturday night with a 10-1 win.

RANKINGS – The Sooners moved up two spots and are now ranked 9th in the most recent ACHA Coaches Division 1 ranking released last Friday. The next ACHA D1 ranking is scheduled to be released Friday, October 20th.

SCOUTING THE WILDCATS – Weber State is currently ranked 13th in the ACHA D1 ranking. The Wildcats lost their home opener 6-5 to Utah State’s D2 club two weeks ago. While the Sooners did not play this past weekend, Weber State traveled to Tempe to take on Arizona State for two games. Weber State won the first game 3-1 but was rocked by ASU 8-3 in the second game of the weekend. The Wildcats are led by senior forward Ian Soldano, senior defenseman Aaron Dufford, senior forward John Darby and sophomore goaltender Kyle Gover.

PRACTICE SCHEDULE – The Sooners practice this week at the Blazers Ice Centre on Monday and Wednesday from 4:30-6:00 P.M. and Tuesday from 8:45-10:30 P.M. before leaving for Utah on Friday morning.

This was what/where I meant when I was discussing posting the rankings, Chris. I just need to get my post count up so I can start threads myself. How Iowa State and Lindenwood stayed so high is beyond me... I guess not all the pollsters were paying attention.
