So, the main line (PVC) coming from my water heater is leaking at one of the joints. Just a slow little drip, drip, drip. Is there any way I can fix this without turning off the water, pulling the joint apart and re-cementing it?

Heh. When I was down in the basement checking it out there happened to be a roll of duct tape on the workbench and I gave it a shot. Didn't work.

you could try cleaning up the joint and putting some Goop on it. You'll probably have to dry it as much as possible first.
