and we, obviously, don't qualify as a great defense. Granted, we played better yesterday than expected, but any great defense i can think of has at least one great interior defensive lineman. A great lineman can stuff the run, either solo or by drawing double teams and freeing up the linebackers. Also he can put pressure on the qb by, again, drawing doubles and freeing up LBs and other outside linemen. Also, the necesity to blitz is diminished becasue of the pressure can be brought via a standard rush.
