He picks OU, but he sounds a little messed up. He seems more concerned with the NFL games.

That guy is really Pistol Paul. He suffered a massive head trauma a few years back, and thus we now have James the Marvel....

I turn off the Animal as soon as they mention that he's coming on. I can't stand listening to him.

James is the highlight of the day usually...in between all of the callers that sound the same : " I m (fill in redneck name)..I m the biggest sooner fan out there(of course you are-cant name a player before 2000), and I was wondering if OU can get that Oregon game taken off their record."

I could never tell the difference between Pistol Paul, Rick from Duncan, and James the Marvel.

I switch the station for all of them.

I dig Chris the Jayhawk, though. I used to work with him.

Seriously, can someone post what is wrong with James the Marvel...I have been wondering this for many years listening to the Animal...If I knew what was wrong with him, maybe I could tolerate him...When he speaks he sounds like he is on a permanent bad trip or several decades of Meth use has fried his brain.

I really can't tell what's wrong with The Marvel either... It's either a very deep seeded psychologial problem, or he did far too much black tar heroin in the 70's.

You can definetely tell that there is a good willed, sane person underneath his *issue*, and I suppose that's why I can tolerate him. I look forward to him being on the air. It's almost like a live Monty Python troup talking sports.

I stopped listening to the SA after the MNC game in 2009...mostly cause they give more airtime to the morons like him than the everyday callers...and I was sick of Traber routinely giving it up to himself!
