Set the motor assembly on a 6 foot ladder while attaching to the wall at the other end, and then raise the motor up to hang from the metal. Do it like the garage door rails are attached with a vertical and an angled support to sturdy it up.

The first time you put in a garage door opener, it takes a long time. Then you figure out what you should have done instead of just following the directions and it is much easier.

No clue and I don't care.

There is a limit. You will find out what it is when the first bill hits accounting or you exceeed the limit - which ever one is more inconvenient and humiliating.
