1. Wear ****ing RED/CRIMSON.

Remember the media/fans each year waxing nostalgic about "half the stadium crimson, half the stadium baby **** orange." Well, part of that is you WEARING ****ING CRIMSON. Not, a white polo coaches shirt, not a gray t-shirt.....RED. It's not that complicated.

2. Get off your ***.

If UT has the ball, make some kind of noise. Not just 3 seconds before the snap, but while they're in the huddle. That's what the best CFB fans do even when they're "God forbid" behind.

If you're not hoarse when you get back to the hotel Saturday night, you might want to rethink why you attended in person in the first place.

Hell, I'll be hoarse from yelling at the TV, but that's a weekly thing during this time of year. I have to save just enough to yell at my Raiders on Sunday. I'm still not sure that I can handle 16 games of that embarassing ****.

I have found that a simple "f*** off" in a subtle tone takes care of this problem (also works with whornfans). You wait 364 days for the RRS every year and I will be damned if I will waste 30 seconds inside the stadium arguing about someone else's comfort.

Don't be a :texan: . There is no need to rewrite history to think that the 2001, 2002 and 2004 games were blowouts.

Texas put up a good fight in those games but came out on the short end of the stick when it was all said and done.

Just to be clear. After a year of mostly positive experience, in which I had decided to become an Elite Sponsor, I started the Hollis Board, I had a 46,000 spek rating based on real spek not betting over two season and 1500 posts, in the last four weeks I can see this board is a place I don't want to be or patronize. There are two other boards which I believe have at least equivalent football knowledge without the abusive environment. I am taking my business elsewhere.

There you have it. Next time we get up 3 - 0 by half time, I say we petition the officials to call the game. Hech, it's as good as over. That is just brilliant!

Heck, if we're tied at the half, I say that we just skip the second half and go directly to OT. I think that BoomrSoonr has come up with a plan that the NCAA would absolutely love. Heck, they might even change the new clock rules back to the old ones since games should only take half as long.

'01 and '02 have been the only close games this decade.

'04 was not close...they were very fortunate the game wasn't 30-0...and if not for a pantom pick that bounced a foot off the ground...it would've easily been in the neighborhood of 20-0 b/c we could've played for 12 quarters and they still wouldn't have scored.

'00, '03, '04, '05 - all beatdowns.

As successful as Bob and Mack have been, the head-to-head matchups have usually been decisive. I don't think that'll be the case on Saturday

....and XTR is dead on about wearing crimson.

if you had the dough to buy a ticket, you should be able to pick up a $10 crimson tee on your way down 1-35 even if for some inexplicable reason you don't already have one...

Guess it depends on your definition of "Beatdown".

12 - 0 doesn't usually get called that. Remember that Texas was deep into our territory on a couple of occasions when they coughed up the ball. Yes, our defense forced those turnovers but if Texas had taken care of the ball, the result could have been different.

Also, you might want to remember the Oregon game this year. Anytime your leading by less than two scores, I don't think that you can classify the game as in hand.

By the way, if we are taking a vote, I say that it is only common sense that all OU fans should wear red. I also say that team apparel should only be in the teams colors (I give an exception to white and grey as a background) but if you are planning to attend the game in person, it should be required to come in the main school color.

OK, I don't care if there were missed opportunities, bad calls, whatever, anything less than two touchdowns is not a beat down. Sure, you may outgain them by hundreds of yards, but if you don't win by more than 14 then it isn't a beat down.

Its really not that hard to get a red/crimson shirt for the OU-TX game. Ideally since OU and TX both have white or crimson as a color, both teams should wear their solid color. Imagine half of the Cotton bowl "ENTIRELY" red and half "ENTIRELY" burnt orange. Now imagine reality....half "ENTIRELY" red and a quarter burnt orange and a quarter white. This is more like it. Why would you argue against this? Do you not have a red shirt? I know if you can afford a ticket to this game you can afford one...they probably have them at Ross if you are a cheap-***. Whatever....at least be loud if you go. This will help the team. If you are not loud, why even go? If you ask someone to sit down...expect them not to and just watch the game on ABC next year. This will be the situation every year. I honestly could care less but people complaining about wanting to wear white and sit down just make me wonder why they even buy a ticket.

How many Texas fans asked you what you were doing after the game or offer you a wax cup beer?

Awesome. Just awesome.

AMEN! Can we make these statements before all home games too? Especially the second one. I swear if one more jack*** sitting behind me tells me to sit down or asks "Are you going to stand the ENTIRE game?" my head will explode.

Tell em...yes...Do you want to switch seats? If you do...I need you to get off your *** on 3rd downs so I stand on your seat. :D

OK...

XTR is absolutely right about the Crimson.

This is OU texas.

Both teams use White.

texas uses *** crack orange

And

OU uses Crimson

The White is an accent color....

The Crimson represents the color of OUr Blood....

The *** crack orange represents....well...poop.

Wear White if you want...

But it just shows how not in tune you are to this game IMO.

This is one of College Football's Premiere Venues and happens each and every year. It's for who gets to represent in the Big XII South (unless texas was to win and then drop two games...which was awesome btw :D ).

When the announcers begin this game on TV....they always talk about the Sea of Crimson and the pond of *** crack orange....

They never talk about the color white.

I just don't think it gets any clearer than that...

Again...wear what you want...

If you want to go "Metro" to the game like some ghey *** whorn because wearing a nice crisp white shirt makes you feel all googly inside...it's your choice...

Don't think I'm not gonna snicker at you though. :D

Wow, what a successful cast - two bites with one little piece of bait!

Seriously now, it is because you paid so much $$ to get to the game that you should enjoy it to its fullest extent by being loud, wearing crimson and standing and all. I know there aren't any snobish luxury boxes for the types that want to sit and eat their tea and crumpets while wearing their navy blazers, but quite frankly, that's kind of the idea.

Also, if you're afraid that there will be a SF.com patrol out there to yell at you if you don't make noise or don't wear crimson, remember that this is not TexAgs. You will not be forced to "uncover" or squeeze your nuts. This is just a polite request to do the right thing :)(

If it's a year we're "home," I bust out the crimson jersey.
If it's a year we're "away," I bust out the white jersey.

Jerseys that correspond to what the team is wearing should be the exception to the rule.

If you wear poisonous nuts around your neck and some jorts with that.. you can pass for an Ohio State fan.

What if the OU gear that has been broken in all season is white? You cant just break in a new crimson shirt off the rack and expect it to have the same mojo. Second, if you notice Bob wears the white during home games...

Dude it was funny: I had been trying all morning, prolly about 30 times altogether -- it's like, the more you try to perfectly time that damn thing, the harder it gets -- so I stopped playing, eventually got a phone call and while I was talking I alt-tabbed over and tried it while talking on the phone: first try, boom, boom, perfect power and accuracy.

So, try again while you're distracted. :)

Hey guy that started the thread. I only have white OU Jerseys in my closet. I'm a little short on money right now (wife needed new brakes, I needed new tires, a lot of little things came up at the same time - ah heck, why am I defending myself to you?). I was wondering if you would be willing to meet me somewhere in Oklahoma or Dallas before the game and buy me a Crimson jersey. I planned on getting one, but...life happened. I may not have enough spare cash to get one and also pay for the trip to dallas and everything we are doing down there.

So if you would be so kind, to help me be a good fan and not a waste. I'll get you back.

Hell, I am lucky not to be hoarse by the end of the 1st quarter. My wife teases me for a week after any Sooner game I go to. Hell even when we beat up on poor Fresno State a few years back I had problems talking for at least three days after the game.

Let's put it this way, the guys on the field shouldn't and couldn't give a rat's *** what color you wear in the stands. Just show up and do your part as fans and the team better focus on Texas, not is Joe Bob in row 24 is wearing white or not.

Good suggestions. Also take a picture of the stadium about 30 minutes before kickoff. You'll see a packed OU side and an almost empty Texas side. Their fans are pathetic.

I guess I'm lucky. I've been going to OU games for decades and have never been asked to sit down. I have been around some fans that don't get the 'yell loudly when the other team is in the huddle' thing though. I never did understand why most people wait until they're at the line.

In all the years I've been going to OU/TX, I've never seen us need encouragment to get loud. Home games? Like a ****ing morgue. Cotton Bowl at the POS Tejas State Fair? Nope. I don't think I've sat down more than a total of about 5-minutes in the past 20-something years of going down there. God I wish our home crowds would act like our OU/Tx crowd.
