While drinking on Sunday and watching VY's great first NFL start, I started thinking...How many QB's have we faced that have started an NFL game?. I could come up with the following, I'm not sure about way back, but there has to be more, this just doesn't seem like enough...

Vince Young - Texas - Tennessee
Chrissy Simms - Texas - Tampa Bay
Chris Weinke - FSU - Carolina
Donovan McNabb - Syracuse - Philly
John Elway - Stanford - Denver
Matt Lienart - USC - Arizona (will happen soon)
Scott Frost - Nebraska - Jets (started at safety i think, not QB)
Vinny Testaverde - Miami - Jets and every other team in the league
Matt Jones - Arkansas - Jax (starting at WR)
Gus Ferrotte - Tulsa - I'm not sure that we ever played against him though
Ronald Curry - UNC - Oakland (started at WR, may still be)
Aso Pogi - oh wait, nevermind.

I can't think of anymore, I'm sure I'm missing some obvious ones, this info has to be somewhere right?

Omar Jacobs at Bowling Green in 2004...

Hostetler is a great pick. I saw that game, I think it was 82...first time I had ever seen a deep ball on Owen Field...at least the 1st time during the first 58 minutes of any Oklahoma football game.

We played against Gussy Boy from T-Town. I saw him throw like a 98 yard pass against us.

Also, "Hoss" played for West Virginia against us in 83, I think. F that guy, F John Elway, and F Vinny T. I'm a fan of Donovan McNabb and Captain Weinke though. :D

that wasn't Gus that threw the 99 yarder to Caswell on us. his name was Troy Degrate or something like that.

I was there too, and quickly went to the bar.

However, we DID play against Gus Frerotte. 1993. OU dominated Tulsa pretty badly.

Nice, I forgot Koy and his neck beard, and yeah Weinke started his rookie season a few games over Rodney Peete, then I think he retired because he was pushing 35.
