Seems like when he gets banged up he does his best (aTm 2004, Holiday Bowl 2005, OU/Gordon Reise 2006). Someone needs to go cat scrath him or something Saturday... ;)

For me to be able to declare a winner on Sunday, you will have to be more specific...

Slow going at first, but as usual, AD rolls up the yards in the second half. 220.

AD barely breaks 100+, Texas D will sellout to shut him down. It's gonna be up to PT and our receivers to score points.

I'm getting a bit nervous about the game Saturday. AD is a hoss, but i just don't know if the OLine will dominate enough on Saturday. Texas, as much as i can't stand them, has a good run defense.

OU is going to have to play a VERY solid game to win Saturday. I'm still unsure of where the team is at after these past 4 games.

He'll get as many yards as the team needs to win the game..............and then in the 4th quarter he'll prolly go for a buck fitty.

117. PT and the receiver core have to win the game for us.

I hope I am wrong, but based on what I have seen of both team's lines this year, I will go with 64 yards. He will only pile up the second half yards if we have a lead or the game is even.

Hopefully it will be more like 164.

In his last Texas - OU game (yes. this year)... Peterson runs for 73 very hard earned yards. After the game, he then draws and quarters every offensive lineman for not opening any holes. :D

Herr Scholz

100-125 but I think it will take him 30-35 carries to get there. I just think that UT has the front 7 on D to effectively control the running game, plus that's Chizik's main goal every game. I think Peterson will be banging his head a lot. I think OU has a better chance through the air, but I think they'll ride Peterson.

Having said that, I think your OTs Braxton and Messner will be doing their best to seal our DEs and pop Peterson out on the corners. If our DEs Crowder, Robison, Orakpo and Lewis can force him inside, I think it will be a long, frustrating day for him. I fully expect Braxton and Messner to have fistfulls of jersey on most plays.

Bottom line on the game: UT has the best team, OU has the best player. If UT can control the best player, we win. If not, we lose.

Fists of Jersey. Agree with that. Probably the "fundamentals" Bob's been working on with his team this past week. Hopefully these refs know what a holding call is.

Right, let's be realistic about this.

I'll say AD gets 110 yards - just enough to keep his +100 yd game streak going and allow PT and Co. to pass for 450 yds and win the game. We'll take it!

I think I see you and Herr working.

Thanks for the insight Cap'n Obvious.

This is possible, but will change no matter what depending on how the game plays out. Don't be surprised to see plenty of runs through the 2. During all of our games running AD inside or outside has been part of the quarter by quarter adjustments. Again, nothing groundbreaking.

Your team certainly has had more hype, as a whole, than ours. We'll see what that translates into on the field. We've got a couple of good players other than AD on our side, too.

No, that's just the only way Peterson will get the corner. Your OL holds on every play in that game BTW. Didn't help you much last year so I'm not worried.

You guys are the ones screaming Waaaaaaahhhh!! lately, both after our game last year and after Oregon.

When you return 16 players from a National Championship team that went 13-0, that team tends to get more pub than a team with less starters returning from an 8-4 team.
