So...I get a call from the school nurse right after lunch.
"Mr. Howzit, you're daughter, Dumbarseina, has hurt herself. She was doing a handstand on a stool and something gave out."
"Wait a minute, could you go over that last part again?"
"She was doing a handstand on a stool and something gave out. It's ok, she landed on her head."

I still haven't gotten the entire story on what led up to the point of being in the middle of a handstand on a stool...

Here's the part that got me - Jr's talking about handstand-on-a-stool bit and says, "Dad, there's a couple of gymnastics kids in theater and we do stuff like that all the time. Isn't it ironical how you don't get hurt doing the dangerous stuff?"

BTW, the nurse was a real girl nurse. Not a fake boy nurse.
I thought those pointy green hats had more cusioning in them to prevent head injuries.

The son of a friend of mine tried a fancy twisting dive, banged his chin on the board and broke his nose. Months later, after it all healed up, grandma and grandpa were over and asked him how he did it....he showed them the move he had made, and broke his nose again.
I'd make sure she avoids stools for a while.

Jr still doesn't remember the actual incident, but remembers up to the fall and has been told the rest.
She and another kid were doing handstands on the stage (this was in theater). This evolved to handstands on a chair, and Jr spies a four-legge stool. Obviously, the next step was to to a handstand from said stool. Which she did.
And it was all good, right up to the point of the next obvious step - a one-handed handstand on said stool.
Chalk another one up for the old center-of-mass trick.
