I am interviewing with a Grain Company tomorrow that has a facility in Catoosa, Oklahoma. If I end up working for this company, I may have to visit there quite often. What kind of place is Catoosa, if anyone here knows anything about it?

I dated a girl from Catoosa once. She was wild.

Other than that, I know nothing.

there isn't a whole lot else there, but it's fairly close to Tulsa, Owasso and Claremore

About a year and a half ago.

It's alright. At least there are more places to eat now. And Best Buy and Starbucks and Target. That helps.

The Port of Catoosa (I was just being retarded). It's supposedly a pretty big port for around here, it's on the Arkansas River.

Just make sure you buy a toll tag.

yermom

is there a toll on I--44 from there now?

i'm usually coming from the North East so i never take that way

Um, yeah, not so much. I think I-44/412 is still free for those three miles from Catoosa to Tulsa. Vailiant effort at turnpike smack, tho.

maybe he's thinking 169 to Jenks?

I cracked up at that. I have visions of the 3 of them bouncing basketballs down the neighborhood sidewalk like the closing credits of What's Happening (who want to be Rerun?) or maybe a horrible incarnation of The Odd Couple.

I have no idea. Maybe Catoosa is closer to Tulsa than I think.

My bro-in-law lives at a hundred and something in Broken Arrow and drives past Catoosa and on to Oolagah(sp?) and it's only like 30 minutes. If its WB Johnston that you are interviewing with just be prepared, the owners are all huge o-state fans.;)

I was thinking All In The Family. JM could be Meathead, Tuba would be Archie and RF George Jefferson.

Or Edith. ;)

the casino is at 193rd and Admiral basically, about 5 miles East from 169, which kinda runs on the Eastern edge of Tulsa

There was a bar near the Casino...

The old name was "The Hall of Fame Club".

Drink at the casino IMO.

if you move from Nebraska you are in for culture shock, Southern Culture, they have trees, water, humidity, I doubt they grow a lot of grain in Catoosa.

In Southeast Nebraska we have all three of those things. They may not grow grain in Catoosa but they handle a ton. It must be like the Brownville of Oklahoma.

Whats the sign on 412 say when you cross the bridge Kerr McClelland waterway or something like that? I thought the Arkansas river ran through Tulsa.:)
