MIAMI - A fugitive gunman accused of killing a Florida sheriff’s deputy was shot 68 times by SWAT team officers who found him hiding in the woods, according to autopsy results.

Police fired 110 shots at Angilo Freeland, 27, the target of a massive manhunt in central Florida following the shooting death of Polk County Sheriff’s Deputy Matt Williams Thursday.

“That’s all the bullets we had, or we would have shot him more,” Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd told the Orlando Sentinel newspaper.

Not much sympathy from fellow officers though, here is a portion of the autopsy done on the slain sheriff, Deputy Williams.




According to the Polk County Sheriff's Office, Williams was cut down by eight gunshots, one of which was a contact wound, where the muzzle was touching his right temple.

The shots include:
One shot in his right wrist.

One shot in his left bicep.

One shot in his left rear thigh.

One shot in his right leg.

One shot in his right buttock.

One shot in his right upper arm.

One shot at close range behind his right ear.

One shot -- a contact wound, where the muzzle was touching his skin -- near his right temple.

Williams was not wearing a bulletproof vest when he died, but it would not have saved him, accordin to Rodgers.

I'm almost certain had there been video of this shooting, that statement and the video would have led to some criminial convictions against the cops.

But hey, 68 outta 110 is still 61% A pretty damn good shot percentage.

Williams was the deputy that was shot the day before the perp was eleminated.
